Bitty Dots Challenge

Are you following along with Nichole's challenges this month? Papertreyink never ceases to astound me! I love the new CS and PP sample packs that will be available on the 15th, and that new green leaf color that they are releasing is so pretty. I was hoping for another green!
Anyway, today's challenge is a connect-the-dots puzzler that leads to a card sketch. I love that she is making it fun for all of us.
So here is my sample.
I turned the sketch on it's side to begin with and just knew I wanted to ink up a set that had long been neglected. Men of Life was a "must have" for me when it was first released, but I hadn't ever used it! I decided to make a Father's Day card for my husband, but when it was done I realized it is a bit "boyish". Do you think so? Maybe the colors are wrong...I don't know.
I also used a technique that was popular way before we all started sewing on our cards. Remember faux stitching? *giggle*
Supplies
Paper: white, spring rain, kraft CS (PTI), Red CS (SU), polka dot PP (PTI)
Stamps: Men of Life (PTI)
Ink: Black (Ranger), Red (SU), Versamark, Spring rain (PTI)
Accessories: White gel pen, paper piercer, pop dots, black brads

Hey, I love this one - the sketch looks fab turned on it's side - perhaps I should have done that!

It looks great how you turned the sketch on its side. And I love your faux stitching. I can't real or fake stitch, but I love the look that it gives! I think this is a great father's day card.

I love your take on the sketch, turning it on its side was clever! The sailboat is very cute up on pop dots and I would not have known your stitching was faux if you didn't share that with us! This is a great card and the colors make me long for a day at the beach. TFS

OMG I can't believe you are back in action! I never got the mail... sniff sniff.

I hope you will participate in my next sketch challenge! Missed seeing your creativity online and am glad it's back!

It's nice to see that even though you had a long hiatus, your creativity never left! Now you just need to make time to stamp. Use baby steps... maybe 30 min once a week and go from there!

Hugs! Bobbie :)
