Sneak Peek! *amazeballs*

Happy Spring! Happy Ostara! Happy vernal equinox!
I get so excited about the coming of spring this time of year:) I'm tired of the death of winter, however needed it is in the cycle of life...I want new birth, new growth, I want the light and warmth to overtake the dark, coldness of winter.

And I'm popping in with another sneak peek for a new set releasing this week at Casual Friday Stamps! Oh man, this set is going to be a favorite of mine forever:) How awesome are the sentiments in this AMAZEBALLS set?? And the images are just as rockin!! I cross-stamped the line of smaller circles and created that fun mandala in the middle. Coloring it in was just as fun, and nearly cathartic.

Go check out the AMAZEBALLS samples by the rest of the design team at the CFS blog. Be sure to comment for a chance to win a gift certificate *wink*

Thanks for stopping by, A blessed Ostara to each and all,
XOXO

Sneak Peak! *Tick tock*

Hello hello!
Yet another sneak peek today for a new set releasing this week at Casual Friday Stamps! This one is called KA-BOOM!
I made this masculine card for my son. I love the fresh yet slightly retro-feel of the sentiments and images in this new set. Reminds me of those old cartoons where "BLAM" KA-POW" and "BOOM" would flash across the screen.
I was going for that look here when I drew and colored the burst around my sentiment. I made the "Os" look like mini bombs:) I'm going to include a pack of those tiny toss and explode pebble bombs that you get around the 4th of July. KWIM? I have a few packs saved for just such an occasion:)

Go check out the Casual Friday Stamps blog for lots of ah-mazing sneaks at this new set!
And don't forget to comment for a chance to win a gift certificate!

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Sneak Peek! *squeal*

Hiya!
Don't you love that "Wowzers" sentiment? It's part of a new set called EXCLAMATIONS that will debut this week at Casual Friday Stamps. *grin*
Can I admit that I adore this set?
It unique and oh-so-fun!
Full of sentiments that you never knew you needed, but totally do!!

The smaller sentiment is from the previously released WTF set, but it just went so perfectly with "wowzers" that I had to include it. And the polka dotted background stamped under the splatter is from Calm & Gentle
My blog title has another hint from the new EXCLAMATIONS set in it too:)
For lots of other amazing samples by the design team, check out the Casual Friday Stamps blog.
Don't forget that you can win prizes for commenting on the CFS blog too!

Thanks for stopping by,

Birthday/Blog-aversary Giveaway

I am 36 today.
I was going to be all reflective and tell you how much my life has changed in just one year, and how I've lost, found, grown, and discovered many things about myself, and blah blah blah and all that drivel.
BORING.
Instead, I want to celebrate!
*grin*

So I'm having a give away.
My blog just turned 6 years old in January, and I'm 36 today... that's a difference of 30.
I'm offering a $30 gift certificate to your choice of stamp companies below.
(Don't you like my reasoning? *hee hee*)

or

Yes, I "work" for both of them.
But hear me out..
I honestly like their products, and I think they are run by INCREDIBLE people with hearts of gold who are just the nicest, most generous, family oriented folks I know. They make me feel important and like a valued member of a team. They really do care about others and show it in many ways. Oh, and their customer service is top notch.
Plus, it's my $30 *wink*

Here's the fine print:
  1. Leave me a comment (making sure I can contact you through email), telling me you follow my blog already, or are now following it. (for one chance)
  2. Leave a second comment telling me you "like" Denami on FB. (for another chance)
  3. Leave a third comment telling me you "like" Casual Friday Stamps on FB. (for a third chance)
  4. Or if you don't want to follow anything, just leave me a comment telling me whatever is in your head, as long as it's clean and PG *chuckle*  (for one chance)
I will draw a winner next week, and announce it here on March 22. Same time, same bat channel:) The winner will then have three days to contact me before I draw another one.
 Best of Luck!

Thanks for stopping by and celebrating my birthday and blog anniversary with me!
I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with new things.

fondly,

Easter goodie bag

Hello! Today I'm posting a goody bag I made to give a coworker for Easter.
She likes tulips and pink so I know it will go over well. I will fill the mini plastic eggs with candy as an added bonus:)
I love using simple templates that print directly onto my cardstock as quick favors.
They look good, are easy to cut out and assemble, and make it seem like you worked hard when you didn't really! (shhhh)

This sweet sentiment is on sale all week at Denami for 10% off, so if you like sales, grab it up.

I started with the Gift Bag Template printed on kraft cardstock.
After stamping it with white polka dots, I added a strip of washi tape, the basket of tulips with some greenery peeking out, and filled it with iridescent shredds for some glitz:)

Supplies used:
Gift Bag Template (FREE this month)
Easter Blessings (on SALE)

Stop by the Denami Blog to see how the rest of the DT used the Easter Blessings sentiment.
It's the perfect stamp for all your Easter cards and favors:)

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Happy Birthday Hop!!

Welcome. Have you noticed that we are celebrating the birth of Denami Design Stamps all month long?  They have been in business for 24 years!! What an accomplishment!

On their birthday page, they have been offering a lot of opportunities for people to win prizes, gift certificates, and even some goodies from their wishlists! Check it out!

Today it's all about a hop though, and I'm first on the list. A bit intimidating I must admit:)

You can win one of three gift certificates just for participating in today's hop. Two lucky hoppers will win a gift certificate just for commenting!
And best of all...?
You won't know just how BIG your gift certificate amount will be (but more than regular for sure) until the winners are announced on Tuesday! Wooh wee I love a good surprise!

On to my project...
I created a multi-layered diorama style card.
What a blast this was:)
Each layer was stamped and colored and cut out before assembling.

The back is where the recipient's name and a personal message will be written.

And it easily folds flat to fit in an envelope for mailing!
I can think of so many Denami stamps that would be perfectly suited for cute scenes in this style!
How about all the darling animals like in a jungle or a zoo? Or the tree stamp with falling leaves and the scarecrow? The hardest part for me was just deciding on WHAT stamps to use! *chuckle*

Here's a list:
Grass Border

Your next stop in this fun birthday hop is Stacy!
Be sure to leave some love along the way, and if you hit an impasse, the Denami blog has a list of all the participants so you can resume the inspiration parade!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENAMI
Thanks for stopping by, good luck!
XOXO

Happy Thoughts

Hiya! I need some happy thoughts right now, so why not share them and hope they come back to me, right? Isn't that what Karma is all about? *smile*

This card is actually for a gal pal who needs some encouragement. I'm hoping to brighten her day. The bright, rich tones of red and green with the fun splash of blue would make ME smile, I know:)
Background was stamped with Countdown, and the flower was made with the ribbon and tree stem from Calm & Gentle, and the center is from Loving Thoughts.
Sentiment is also from Calm & Gentle
Does it seem like I love my Casual Friday Stamps? *grin* Because I DO!!

Thanks for stopping by today,
XOXO

Pin-Spired

Woohoo for Wednesday!
No reason really...just feeling happy:)

I love perusing Pinterest when my mojo is faltering, so these Pin-spired challenges that Paulina gives us are so much fun.
Look at this crazy cake! *chuckle*
My kids are allergic to synthetic food dyes, so rarely would something like this appear in my baking repetoire, but it looks fun anyway:)

Fun news!

Hello, hello!
It's finally March. *happy sigh*
I'm looking forward to my upcoming birthday even though I will be 36:)

Remember my goodbye post last week about stepping down from the CAS-ual Friday challenge blog?
Well... *grin* I stepped down because Michele asked me to be on the brand new Design Team for Casual Friday Stamps!!!

Wahoo!
I have never said YES to something so fast in my life:)
I loved designing for CAS-ual Fridays (I created and posted for 91 challenges!), but I've never been clean & simple girl at heart. I like lots of layers, details and eye candy. Case in point: After I created the card above, I went back and added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers *chuckle* It just needed something...more, YKWIM?

Stamps used:

I stamped the image panel (watercolor paper) with several flowers and vines and then embossed them in white. Then I went back in with some watercolor crayons and put color where I wanted it. After "washing" it with my brush and allowing the colors to bleed a bit, I wiped the color off the embossed parts with a paper towel. These are the watercolor crayons I used:

I'm happy dancing along with the rest of the new Ink Squad Design Team! And believe me, you will LOVE the new sets coming up in the next few months. Michele is a mastermind at creating just what is missing from our stamping arsenals. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Go welcome the other girls too:

                           Dana Seymour <---That's me:)

Thanks for stopping by today and sharing in my fun news!
I'm so excited to get the ball rolling!
XOXO
