New dies

I am so happy to report that my new Loving Blooms Fri-Dies are perfect for making your own felt flowers!
With four sizes in one package, you can create a multitude of flowers in several widths.

I used 6 diecuts from the second largest size flower die to create the large felt teal flower, and 1 of the same size to create the small mauve bloom. Stamps include Mums The Word, and Casual Elegance.

Apples and Pears

Hello! Is your summer winding down?
School starts September 5 for my kiddos, so we are trying to get in a few last minute summer activities before all the hoopalah begins. And what better way to begin than by making TY cards for the teachers? *smile*

The 4-stamp Apples & Pears set is on sale all this week at Denami.
I created two completely different but similar (both trees) cards to showcase this versatile set:)
I stamped the large winter tree onto patterned paper and randomly cut around the branches to give bushy definition. Then stamped it again onto my main panel for the trunk, and adhere the PP on top. I also paper pieced the apples, so they could hang off the tree and look realistic. Then I used a tiny 2-leaf stamp and added a few leaves to the tree. A sentiment and some twine finished it off. (I added the "teacher" part of the sentiment myself)

For this card, I was attempting to create a Partridge In a Pear Tree holiday theme.
I stamped the open pear image repeatedly in a triangle shape, drew a simple trunk at the bottom, and colored them in with copics. For the partridge I used small tweety bird, and drew a head piece to make him look like a partridge. The sentiment is one of my favorite mixed fonts!

Be sure to check out the Denami blog for all the creative ideas using this set of Apples & Pears by the rest of the Design team!

Pin-Spired 11

Welcome to the newest Pin-Spired post with Denami! We have some soft, pastel, yet bright cards to share with you today. All of them can be seen on the Denami Blog, so check them out!

I love all that citrus fruit, and I love Denami fruit stamps, but the beach ball was calling to me when I studied this photo!
I used copics and free-handed a few stripes on some white cardstock, then drew black lines in between to define them better. The beach balls were stamped with coordinating pigment ink and then colored with the same copic markers used for the stripes. A simple sentiment finished it off!

Be sure to check out the fruit-tastic creations by a few other DT members on the Denami Blog!
