Embellish challenge

Hi friends.

Did you see the new Embellish color challenge?
Denami is sponsoring it, so the DT had a few days of advance warning and I created this card. Actually finding the time to post it was the hard part! *chuckle*

I stamped the harlequin border in a rainbow pattern and stitched up the panels side-by-side.
I like how my stitching is all wonky...
don't you? *grin*
Then I fussy cut the crane out several times. Also in use is some baby blue grosgrain ribbonblue ice cardstock and an amethyst boutique button!

Aren't you loving the rainbow color schemes everywhere lately?
I am.
I have several photos for inspiration on my Pinterest page that are rainbow hued.

So inspiring, right?

Hope you'll play along with this week's Embellish Challenge for a super prize compliments of Denami!

CAS-ual Friday

So can anyone guess what this week's challenge is at CAS-ual Fridays?

Gettin' edgy!

Yep! Use border punches, dies, tearing, whatever you have to create a fun edge...either on a  panel, or on the card itself.

I made three different fun edges and still managed to keep it somewhat CAS.
Even WITH that blinged-out peace sign, compliments of my bestest blogger pal, Sue Ann! (big hugs to you my friend)

Don't you just love that quote? One of my favorites for sure, and something I strive for on a daily basis.

Stamps are from Market Street Stamps, and they just happen to be our sponsor this week too!
I used the big peace sign, the small dove, and the sentiment from Hippie Chic.  And there are several other great stamps in the same set.

Come join in the fun at CAS-ual Fridays and see if you have what it takes to be a V.I.P!

Peace out!

Classic pear

Hi friends!

I'm in a hurry, but wanted to pop in and share this card I made for the sketch challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts.
Sometimes a sketch is just the push I need to use a stamp that has been feeling unloved from my collection. This pear image fit the bill perfectly!
I even used an old SU background stamp too, and topped it off with a single word from PTI's Top Ten Additions.

If you want to play along with us, link up your card using this LO (I turned it) to the challenge thread called JUNE 22 for a chance at a lovely prize package of May Arts ribbon and trims!

Don't you just love that lace trim and the lined yellow ribbon I used? YUM...love May Arts!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Happy news!

Welcome!
I have something terribly exciting to share with you today!

Remember last month when I was guest designing for Denami
Well the very sweet and uber talented Paulina, asked me to stay on as a permanent DT member and I said...
YES!
EEEEEK!

This goes out to Paulina,  in gratitude for all her hard work, dedication,  and support. She's a perfect DT coordinator and I'm so lucky to have the chance to work with her and the other talented girls on the team. And hoo-boy are they a talented bunch!

Ribbon and button: Denami

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my happy news,

CAS-ual Friday!

Welcome!
Is everyone else getting a lot of rain like we are?
Our blind cat, Barnaby, got out yesterday by mistake and I spent hours walking around in the rain searching for him. *shiver* I couldn't find him, but my hubster went out to look and came back in 15 minutes with him! YAY!

So...it's that time again...
FRIDAY!
And that means a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays
This week it's all about color blocking.

I love this theme so much I created 4 different cards,
but I plan to share them periodically so as to not overwhelm you all! *chuckle*

Last week's tic tac toe challenge was a blast, and you really stepped up your game! It was so difficult choosing my favorites.
But I cannot WAIT to see what everyone comes up with this week. I think this has been my favorite challenge so far! *grin*

We are sponsored by Crop Stop this week. You can find anything you need there!

Come join in the fun with CAS-ual Friday's color blocking challenge!!

No Sentiment shabby

Happy hump day!

A new challenge goes live today at Simply Scrapping Crafts

Now, I frequently make cards and leave the sentiment off, but for some reason, being forced into it was hard for me. It took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do! As an added bonus, I actually didn't use ANY stamps...and it was HARD! *chortle*

Deciding on some shabby goodness, this card came together rather quickly with a bunch of things I had lying around my studio.

Come join in the fun for a chance at an amazing prize package of assorted ribbons and trims from MAY ARTS! (I know that SSC is a bit confusing to navigate at at first, so if you have any questions, just let me know by email)

Thanks for stopping by,
*mwah*

Quickie congrats card

Hello!
Sorry for the lack of posting lately.
I'm swamped with wedding invites for a customer right now.

This quick card uses a sentiment from Practicing Creativity Designs, some PP from Webster's Pages, and an embellishment from Prima. All CS is PTI (Fine Linen & Ocean Tides).

I promise to be back with more soon!

CAS-ual Friday!

Hi!
You sure wowed the DT with your sketch cards this past week...WOW! *grin*
Each week it gets harder and harder to choose because SO many of you are entering amazing designs. I really enjoyed all the inspiration you provided for us.

This week's Clean & Simple challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is...
TIC TAC TOE!
Yep.
You get to choose how you play (or win). Just use any line across, down or diagonal to choose the elements for your CAS creation!

You can see that I went with ribbon, dies, and felt for my card.
Isn't it fun?
I love how a CAS card can be clean and sophisticated at the same time. And who can't use a cheery bright yellow card with hints of teal? *wink*

You simply must go check out what the rest of the design team (plus a special guest) has done for their tic tac toe cards!

Our sponsor and guest designer (Girl Friday temp) this week is Tami Mayberry
Not only is she playing along with our challenge this week,
but she will provide an awesome prize to the winner too!

Can't wait to see what you do with this one...INSPIRE ME!

She did it!

 Doing a happy dance
for a friend of mine who was told she can come back to work next school year!
She was laid off earlier this year and was frantically searching for a job.
Being a teacher is hard enough, right?
 I'm so happy for her.

All supplies PTI.

CAS-ual Friday!

TGoodnessIF!

And time for another CAS-ual Friday challenge too!
Last week's graduation cards were so much fun to peruse.
You all are some clever crafters! I was really inspired by so many entries.

Keep 'm coming folks, because we LOVE seeing what you make and I love finding new blogs! *wink*

This week it's a sketch. Laura's Sketch!

Isn't that fun?
I turned it and used a computer generated quote to make that smooth hill.
A MS border punch and a strip of kraft impressed with a PTI impression plate
and some white gel pen dots finished it off.

But the rest of the DT had some really brilliant ideas, truly.
So be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Friday's blog and check them all out for inspiration before you play along!

Our sponsor this week is The Craft's Meow!

They have everything a crafter could want in their store
from Maya road chipboard to the new Echo Park papers
to gorgeous LaBlanche stamps. Delicious stuff!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge!

Have a good one,
*mwah*

Painting challenge

Good grief why does life seem to get so busy as soon as warmer weather hits?
I've been CRAZY for the past few days! I need a break already...

Today's card is for the Painting challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts.

Instead of using actual paint, I used a paintbrush and
some Ranger Distress ink and "painted" the ink on.
*smile*
Stamp is from Unity
Ribbon is May Arts, who also happens to be our sponsor this week!
Join us for a yummy prize package of gorgeous May Arts ribbon and trims.
