CAS-ual Friday (markers)

Goodness I am READY for a weekend...whewwww. What with my youngest being sick, the cold temperatures, the snow and wind, my car throwing hissy fits, and covering for another officer at work, I cannot wait to relax with a glass of wine and my feet up tonight!

And what better time to break out the markers and color for relaxation. Does coloring soothe you as much as it does me? Very calming. I have enjoyed coloring with crayons and colored pencils and markers since I was a small child.

If you like coloring with markers, join us for the newest challenge on the CAS-ual Friday blog this week.
I created this with an old digital stamp from a now defunct company (DeeDee's Digis), but I love the image and sentiment so much I couldn't resist playing with it again. I drew the "v" shape on the box with a copic multiliner and then colored the image in.

Our sponsor this week is
They are offering up an AMAZING prize of Spectrum Noir!!!

Also, this is Debby's last week on the CAS-ual Friday crew and we will miss her so much. Her creative talents are bar none and she can rock the Clean and Simple like nobody's business. What a loss to the team:( Best of luck on your new adventures girl!

Link up your project to the CAS-ual Friday blog!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend,

Nuts About You

Hi friends:)
I'm posting the first Product Spotlight of 2013 for Denami today.
It's this cute little quad of mini stamps that are perfect for sweet ST.Valentine's Day cards.

I created two cards with it. One for each of my boys, because not only do they love nuts and collect acorns from our yard, but they like animals of any kind, especially squirrels:)
For the second one, I simply stamped the squirrel on a block stamp and re-stamped it onto my cardstock so it would be in reverse. Then I went over the lines (they are always a bit faded) with a Copic Multiliner
(for a more in-depth explanation, see a tutorial from last year, here.)

This sweet set of on sale all week, so grab it while you can!
And be sure to comment on as many of the DT blogs as possible for a chance to WIN it!! (with only 9 stops to make, that's easy peasy;)

In a repeating mood...

Just popping in with two cards I made using my new stuff from Casual Friday Stamps!
This one is made with Casual Elegance. I was in a mood and just kept stamping the vine over and over with versamark. It looked good, but then I decided to make it pop with some white embossing powder.
The frame around the sentiment is actually a gorgeous dark purple Amthyst that goes really well with the  Lime green
This card is for a friend who is pretty hip, so I knew she would appreciate the repeated chevron pattern on these graphic shapes. Plus, I love the open sentiment outline of "sweet." This set, Rad, just makes me smile. I know my 13 will love cards made with it, because he likes to think he's "hip" too. *smile*

Hope your day is a sweet one,
Thanks for stopping by,

CAS-ual Fridays (long and short)

Happy Friday everyone:)
Hope you all have something fun or relaxing planned for the weekend.
I will be in deep cleaning mode I think...feeling the "urge to purge" LOL!

The challenge for CAS-ual Fridays this week is to create a card with two long and 2 short sides. So a 3 x 6, or 4 x 8, etc I think I went with 3 x 6 but I wouldn't swear to it. *chuckle*

.
And not just because we are sponsored by Casual Friday Stamps, but because I LOVE this new stamp set, Casual Elegance, I couldn't resist using it:)
This floral stem is just too pretty. Whether embossed, or colored in, the flowers and leaves are so elegant and lovely.
It and two other new sets go on sale today!!!

I rarely make cards with a white base, but was attempting for really clean and fresh with this LO.
The simple color scheme (orange, aqua, grey) really needed that blank white canvas to pop out. I like this LO so much, I've already made two more almost identical cards and only changed the colors!

Thanks for stopping by today, I really appreciate you so much.
I'm coming up on my 6 year blogging anniversary soon (Jan. 31), and am hoping to have a really sweet giveaway for you. *wink*

Washi Tape Blog Hop

Happy Sunday!
Welcome to the Denami Washi Blog Hop.
Need ideas to use all the amazing washi tape patterns? This hop is the place to be!

Did you come from Greta's blog? She's so creative:) Start here at the Denami blog for a list of participants if you want to see everything.

I couldn't resist creating this cute little scene using three different patterns of Washi Tape.

With the Cars & Trucks stamp set, the scene was perfect on the sides of the boutique boxes as school Valentines treats for my kids.
I printed the sentiment on the computer and placed it in the middle of the cloud washi tape and the road washi tape. Then I fussy cut the little vehicles out, colored them and adhered them to the front.
After adding the chocolate kisses, I sealed the box with the red/white heart washi tape.

I KNOW my kiddos will be delighted when they see these and want to help me make more for their classmates.

Next on the stop is Pattie
Be sure to comment here and on each blog along the way for a chance at winning one of 2 Denami gift certificates worth $20!!

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

CAS-ual Fridays (round of applause)

Wahoo for Friday!
My bestie is coming to visit this evening and we are wedding planning (hers, my friends...hers!) and bridesmaid dress shopping all weekend!
*squeal* I'm thinking tonight should begin with Mimosas! *grin*

Although this card is not for her, she is ALL these things and more. I {heart} her:)

So this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is to create a project that has at least one circle on it and celebrates an accomplishment.
I used stamps that have not yet been released by our sister company, Casual Fridays Stamps:) Lucky you for getting a sneak SNEAK peek at the goods!
CFS also happens to be our sponsor this week, so the prize will be a fabulous one!

Come join us this week and show us what clean & simple project you create for the CAS-ual Friday challenge!

It's Sneak Peek time!!

Hi friends:)
It's that time of year again!!
*squeal*
New stamps are being released by Denami Design and you get a sneak peek of the Garden Elegance collection today!!

I used 3 new stamps on this card which happens to be my very favorite of the samples I made. *grin*
You will love the entire collection, I just know it!

This trio of small notecards was SO much fun to make! Embossed the image with white e.p on white, and used q-tips dipped in pigment ink to rub around the areas where I wanted the color. The embossing resists the ink and stays white!
Simple yet elegant.

Wait until you see the possibilities with the new solid mix-n-match flower petals and leaves set!!! I used SEVEN new stamps on this CAS card. To highlight the petals a bit more, I outlined them with black pen, hence the not-so-perfect hand drawn lines:)
Please forgive the blurriness of this photo. I didn't realize until I uploaded it that I saw my focus was off. *shrug* You get the idea though!
Simply white emboss the image, and use Copic markers to color over the lines! Easy and pretty. I just love this bouquet. It's elegant.

So what do you think? Some great new stamps, right?
For even more amazing sneak peeks of the Garden Elegance collection, check out the Denami blog and see what my fellow DT members have done!

I also think there might be a chance at winning some things...(hint hint) for commenting.
 *cough ahem*

CAS-ual Fridays (thanks)

Welcome to a new Year, and a new CAS-ual Friday challenge:)
I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful holiday.
I will post a few photos sometime in the next week of our own fun times here in this household. *smile*

This week we girl fridays are gettin' our thanks on.
And what better time to send out thank you notes and cards than after a holiday where gifts are received, right?
I couldn't resit writing a teeny tiny letter and putting in this envelope on the front of my card. Granted, I say almost the same thing on the inside, but tiny things are always cuter aren't they?!
The lace tape is a new favorite...gorgeous stuff in many widths. I put it in my stocking myself *grin* Envelope die is from PTI, as are the stamps.
We are sponsored by Ellen Hutson this week, so be sure to submit your project for a chance at an incredible prize!

Hope you all have a chance to play along with the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week!
Thanks for stopping by,
