Love Circle

I have felt inspired by Pinterest so many times in the past few years, that I want to pay homage to the genius creators behind that mastermind idea:)

See these awesome cards?

 Source #1, Source #2, Source #3
I found them on Pinterest recently and wanted to try random Washi strips on a cardfront myself.
What better time than with the cute heart washi tape I had, and some fun stamps from Denami!

The Love Circle is on sale for the next week, but I also used XOXO, and some cute heart and zigzag patterned washi tape as well:)

Denami hosts a mini hop on the last Wednesday of each month, and there will be a winner drawn from all the commenters to WIN THE LOVE CIRCLE STAMP!

Be sure to stop by each place on the list to increase your chances:)

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Curtain Call Challenge

Woo hoo! I'm playing along with the Curtain Call challenge today and I'm so excited!
I've been "lurking" from afar but decided to come out and play because Denami is the sponsor for this challenge and I couldn't resist!

This picture makes me think of sweet, romantic, old-fashioned letter writing to the one you admire. Those gorgeous orange flowers really popped out at me, so I incorporated their color and that of the old book into my card. Of course the doily, hearts, and twine are obvious:)

If you want to play along there is a great prize up for grabs...

I used the Heart Envelope stamp and paired it with the Open Box and Sending You Love. I originally had another envelope right in front of the box as if it fell out once opened, but when I was carrying the card to photograph it, the envelope fell off and stuck to the bottom of my shoe. *sad face*
Needless to say, it was not really "fixable."
So there seems to be a larger space than there should be on the front of my card, but oh well! *shrug*

Be sure to check out the Curtain Call blog for all the details on the challenge! I hope you'll play along!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous day:)

Just for fun cards

Hi there! I was playing around the other day with my stamps and made a bunch of cards just for fun. Not because I had an occasion that I needed one for, or because I had to for a DT assignment, but because I wanted to play and have fun:)
I made 7 cards in two days JUST FOR FUN!
(It's been a while since that has occurred)

These two use some of my awesome stamps from Casual Friday Stamps
The top one uses Wonderful Words, (leaves are from Casual Elegance).  The second one uses Love Notes.

Valentine Blog Hop

Let me begin by saying that I {heart} St. Valentine's Day and I have been making and sending valentine cards to my family since I was about 7 years old.
I would spend days crafting elaborate cards with doilies, old copies of Victoria magazine (for cut-out flowers, etc), ribbon and lace, and even the tin foil from old candy wrappers!
(Yes. I had one of those mothers who couldn't bear to throw out anything that had potential in another form. This is why she still has every cap from every jug of milk we ever drank, and more half-dyed popsicle sticks than one person should own. Feeling kitschy? Go ask my mom for supplies. Seriously.)
Even into my college years (mid-90s), I was still making and mailing them.
St. Valentine's Day may be a "hallmark" holiday, but it's always been a favorite of mine for being crafty:)
Remember Victoria magazine? They were the best for decoupage back in the day *wink*

Participating in the monthly Denami Blog Hop is always fun for getting ideas and being inspired as well!
If you interested in winning one of two $20 gift certificates to the Denami store, be sure to stop at each blog in this hop and leave a comment. Two lucky commenters will be chosen from all the blogs!

Following along, I'm lucky #13 in this Blog Hop! *grin*
If you came from Donna's blog I'll bet you are feeling inspired. She's so clever that girl!

My first card up there at the top of this post uses:

These three small valentines are all variations on a theme:)

I had this grand idea to create color-able valentines for my youngest son to color and take to school, but I haven't finished them. I do however want to show you my prototypes so you can maybe get some ideas!

Denami carries so many stamps that can be used for this idea... And over a shared bottle of wine yesterday my boyfriend and I came up with at least 4 more, besides these! He had fun digging through my Denami stamps and coming up with punny sentiments:)

And one more that is "adult" themed...made just for fun because my 9 year old will NOT be using it!

*chuckle*

Stamps used:

I hope you are feeling inspired and had fun checking my cards out! Leave a comment if you'd like a chance to win:)
Next up is the amazing and talented LYNDAL! (for a full list of participants, check out the Denami Blog.)

Belated Christmas Wishes

Happy New Year to everyone!

I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful holiday season.
I'm playing catch-up in my personal life but way behind in blogland:) I thought I'd post a card I made a few weeks ago and never made time to blog about.

I used Rad and Christmas Carols from Casual Fridays Stamps and just doodled the rest of each letter with a white gel pen.
Go check out the awesome news on the CFS blog today...
They are participating in the 2nd Annual Seasons Giving Blog Hop and THREE lucky winners will receive a $25 gift code!
Plus, there is a special for anyone as well, even if you don't want to try to win.

Now that's the kind of sale I'm all about!

I'm going to end with a few photos of the holidays around here.

I snapped this with my iPhone. It's our Christmas Eve table display. I like to do white/purple/silver in my dinning room for Christmas but it was dark and the colors didn't come through very well.

My youngest on Christmas morning.
I love how he nearly blends into the tree! (I had to wake him up and ask him to come down...can you believe it??)

My beautiful mom on Christmas morning.
She was opening a Matryoshka nesting doll I put in her stocking:)

This is Lily.
She belongs to my boyfriend, and she loves to be photographed:)

My favorite gift!
I have wanted one of these for 10 years!

Before I sign off, I want to let you know that there will be some exciting things happening here in the next week or two!
Both stamp companies that I design for will be releasing some awesome new goodies and sneak peeks begin January 6th!!

AND

Be sure to check out both the Denami Blog and the Casual Friday Stamps blog beginning January 6th!

Wishing you all a happy, healthy new year,
XOXO
