CAS-ual Friday!

It's Friday!
This has been a crazy week in our house, but school will be starting up in two weeks (Sept. 7) and I know things will get even crazier!

So who's up for a new CAS challenge at the CAS-ual Friday blog?
How about stickers? (I know, I know, but the new style of stickers are really quite awesome!)

I honestly had a blast playing with the stickers the DT was sent by our sponsor this week, SRM Stickers.

I couldn't resist using three different sized number sheets to create that fun BG on my card, and the sentiment is a sticker too! The edges of the stickers blended seamlessly onto my CS...look closely, you can see a few edges but not too many!

Pull out some stickers (you know you have some!) and join in on the fun this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
Hope to see you there,

Product spotlight

Hey all!

I'm popping in today to share a product spotlight from Denami with you.

Aren't these colors fun? When I was playing around the other day I had navy blue, green and turquoise together but it needed something to lighten it up and apricot was just the thing!

This Solid Polka Dot Border is so versatile, wait until you see what the entire DT has done with it! Check out the blog to see more samples.
I also used the Contempo Thank You sentiment here because I love the font...it's different and catches my eye, especially when stamped in navy to match the stitching.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your week is going well!

(Almost) Wordless Sunday

This card has been sitting in my draft posts for months now. I have no idea why. Maybe I was thinking of submitting it, but I clearly never got around to it, LOL!

Thanks for stopping by,

CAS-ual Friday!

Well, well, well. Can you believe it's Friday already?
This week flew by for me and I feel like I've missed a few days somewhere.
Does that ever happen to you?

On with the show anyway!

This week's challenge at the CAS-ual Fridays blog is all about embossing. Heat embossing or dry embossing, you decide.

I went with heat embossing by using white e.p. on cream CS with a stamp set by The Stamps Of Life, Friends4Ever. I love those large viney leaves. And the tiny spray of flowers started out cream but I doused them with Glimmer Mist for color!

The Stamps of Life also happen to be our sponsor this week, so be sure to check out the site...lots of unique clear stamp sets!

Play along with us this week and link your project using some form of embossing to the blog for a chance to win!

SO glad you stopped by today, have a great weekend,

Mini Cards blog hop

 Welcome!
I'm joining in the fun today with the Denami Design mini cards Blog Hop!
I get to be the lucky first stop (can you say pressure?!), but for a list of all participants, please see the Denami blog.

Because Denami makes so many cute tiny stamps, this was the perfect opportunity to let them shine.
I made a set of six mini cards,  2 1/8 x 2 1/8  and bundled them all together in a tiny clear boutique box.

Can you believe I used 14 different stamps on these mini cards? Yep.
And because these cards are so small, it was easy to make them for several different occasions.
Once packaged together in the boutique box, they make a sweet little gift for a friend, neighbor, or teacher.

Secret time: I actually made two sets of these, because I wanted to keep some for myself! I plan on tucking one tiny card in my son's lunchbox come Monday! *wink*

Remember, Denami is giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop, so be sure and leave a comment on each post!
Your next stop on this hop is the lovely and talented Amber!

Thanks for stopping by, a list of supplies used is below.

CAS-ual Friday

Okay.
Be honest here friends.

Is this a HOT MESS of a card?

I was rather pleased with it originally, but upon further inspection, began having second thoughts.
Then I showed it to my 6 year old who promptly told me it was
"Very good Mom, but why is it so messy at the bottom?"

*sigh*

It does look messy.
Instead of sponging the ink on the embossed image I went with stippling.
Clearly that wasn't such a good idea.

Never-the-less, I am posting it as my CAS-ual Friday challenge card today, in all its messy glory.
We are teaming up with the Clean and Simple Stamping sketch challenge this week...

And are sponsored by:

Come play along if you like a sketch challenge, or even if you don't (hey, that's why it's a challenge)! *grin*

And feel free to leave constructive criticisms...I can take the heat!

Thanks for stopping by,

Love & Miss you

Hello everyone!
How's your summer going?
I'm swamped and chaotically busy, but so happy for all the warm weather. *smile*

It's time for a Denami Product spotlight so today's card focuses on the sweet rainbow stamp.
It's simple, but oh so cute.
And for one week only the rainbow is 10% off in the Denami store!
M74-Rainbow

This stamp is not only fun to color but it's also easy to paper piece like I did here.
I used sentiments from the Heartfelt Greetings and Assorted Greetings sets, and a perfect pink button to finish off the card.

Be sure to check out all the yummy samples that the DT has for you on display at the Denami Blog...you won't want to miss all the inspiration using this fun stamp!

Thanks for stopping by,

CAS-ual Fridays!

Comin' atcha today with a new CAS-ual Friday challenge!

And I'll be honest and admit that this was truly a challenge for me.

1. Glitter is not my thing.
2. I really don't care for glitter
3. Glitter and I? Nah, not so much.

BUT,
with that said,
I have a ton of it!
(In tiny bags that Sparkle & Sprinkle sends me as free samples when I place an e.p. order.)

My first task was deciding what to do with these glue dots that the GLUE DOTS company so graciously sent all of us. (can you tell they are the sponsor this week? *grin*)

Once I knew I wanted to use my Tim Holtz mini crown mask, my second challenge was deciding on what colors of glitter to actually use!
I think I went overboard...
*grin*

Add in the glimmer mist and this card is in the running for Miss Glitter America! *groan*

You just HAVE to check out what the rest of the DT did...
I'm so lucky to work with such talented ladies.

Join us for some glittery glue dot fun this week!

See you on the flip side,
*mwah*

Denami/Lawn Fawn blog hop

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn/Denami Design Blog hop.
This 2-day event (today and tomorrow) will knock your socks off!

These two stamp companies are the perfect combination of fun, fun and more fun!
Both design teams were challenged to use stamps from both companies, and we have some amazing things to show you. *wink*

You should have arrived here from the uber-talented Teri Anderson, but to start at the beginning and see a list of each blog participant, go here.
 I used three Denami stamps:

and one Lawn Fawn stamp from:
Hello Friend. (yes, I cut it apart, but that's the beauty of clear stamps, right? *grin*)

This sweet card uses the large flower spray from Denami, and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Hello Friend! A perfect match, don't you think?

Lastly, I used 3 stamps from Denami:
and the Double-lined Square (makes a great frame!),

and 3 stamps from Lawn Fawns set, How Delightful.

Your next stop on the hop is Lynette Kauffman.

Remember to comment on each blog both days for a chance at a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn AND a $25 gift certificate to Denami Design
There will be a winner on BOTH days!
Now that is an awesome prize.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the hop and get lots of inspiration!

Good luck,
*mwah*

Glitter swirls

I'm popping in with a quick 5 minute card for the new challenge at the Simply Scrapping Crafts blog.

After printing the Tiffany's Doodles digital image (L.O.V.E letters) onto my white CS, I drew random swirls with my bottle of Tombow mono multi glue and dumped silver glitter on top.

Yes.
I can see they are all wonky.
In retrospect, I would probably pencil them in, in a planned sort of way, if I were to do it all over again.
But I'm being honest, and since this is my blog, I will put my bad ideas on here too!
HA.

But the digital image and the black twill ribbon look good...right? *chuckle*

If you want to join in our challenge just link up your card using glitter at Simply Scrapping Crafts for a chance at a fabby prize from Tiffany's Doodles!

Thanks for stopping by and putting up with me,
*mwah*

Denami Sketch challenge

ETA: Sorry this post is late today. I'm a dunce and accidentally scheduled it for tomorrow!

'Morning all!
Hope you are surviving this crazy weather.

I'm posting my take on the Denami Sketch Challenge today. Isn't this a fun one?
So versatile.

You can see I turned it to make it work for me, but just wait until you see what the rest of the DT did! Oh man, are they good.

I used the small cherries and the assorted greetings set, along with some Paisley Sampler     patterned paper and the gorgeous Emerald grosgrain.

Check out the details at the Denami blog, and be sure to link up your attempt for a chance at a $20 GC to the Denami store!

Hope you join us!

Stay cool,
