Another Notepad

A few weeks ago Amy posted a really great notepad that she had made for someone. She mentioned that she was always making them but didn't have one for herself. I agreed. Always making fun things for others but not for ourselves. (Isn't that just like us crafters?!) So I suggested a trade. I make one for her, and she make one for me!
This is the one I made specifically for her.
I stamped the Damask Designs image in White Snow pigment ink on Sweet blush CS and then again, slightly off-center with Sweet Blush pigment ink. It gives it an embossed look that I really like (and Amy said she thought it was flocked and tried to feel it! lol).  I stamped the text onto the Spring Moss CS with Sweet blush ink too, and then layered it with Aqua Mist CS.
Additions include buttons, Berry Sorbet ribbon, and the scalloped circle "note to self" sentiment, all on a kraft base with a white notepad inside.

It was really fun to make this for her, and it feels good to send some snail mail to someone I only know through this amazing hobby. Hope you enjoyed it too Amy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be creative!

So pretty Dana! I love the colors you paired together, so girly and fun! Amy will love it, how nice of you swap! And you are right, we never make anything for ourselves.

This is gorgeous Dana! I love the idea of creating an embossed look using white ink and stamping this way. See what I mean...Why didn't I think of that?:) Thanks again for the inspiration.

I have to say that this notepad is MUCH better in person and I was blown away, I tell ya!! Dana did such a fabulous job with this....now I don't want to use it! Just wanna look at it!! I'm serious when I told Dana that I thought it was "fuzzy" or flocked. That is a totally amazing look!! Thank you so much Dana....it is truly beautiful!!

Dana this is amazing! I was wondering how you got the damasks to look flocked!! What a super look--I'm definitely going to try that. The colors are so lovely and I think the line of buttons is perfect!

No time to comment on all the great entries I just scrolled past (love all the "dandy" projects), but I had to leave a comment here. Gorgeous notepad -- I was scrolling down to see how you flocked the damask, haha. Had to laugh when I read I wasn't the only one who thought it was flocked! Great effect!
