Morning all!
Today's card is for Sasya's Sketches. I'm rather happy with how this one turned out...can I say that?*smile* Pale apricot has always been one of my favorite colors.
Finally used some PP that I've had for a few months, and one of the gorgeous pale orange paper flowers from Prima that I just HAD to have a few months ago and never even opened!*chuckle*
I know the LO is vaguely familiar (see yesterday's mat stack wreath card!), but it actually comes from this week's sketch.
It was hard for me not to cover up the edges of the PP on this card, but every time I did, I didn't like it, no matter what I tried using, so I ended up leaving them showing. I even tried a small border punch along there but it just didn't 'work". You KWIM, right?
If you feel like playing along wiht us this week, post your creation at Sasya's Sketches for a chance at some really cool prizes.
Thanks for stopping by,
*mwah*

Dana, your card is so pretty and elegant. I also like the color combination.
LOVE IT...... the touch of the apricot against all the HS and NL ....... YUMMY!!! I have a butterfly in the same color cut from the same stamp on my desk and I thought it looked so crazy I guess I should stamp the image again and put it in place and then maybe I will like it!!! Oh and that flower .......well I would have had to have it too!!!!
I agree, a beautiful color, especially against the teal/turquoise. Another fabulous creation.
Love this card and the color combo is perfect.
I like that you used the mat stack "standing up." Love the apricot flower too.

Well, I LOVE that flower! It is very pretty and looks so soft. The whole card is adorable and I totally understand what you meant about the edges showing and nothing quite working for you when you tried to cover them. That happens to me a lot and it's frustrating. :)
You're right. The pale apricot is gorgeous, and works perfectly with the blues. I like how you didn't cover up the PP. It creates a nice contrast. Beautiful.
Wow! Not an easy sketch this week! But of course you managed to create a stunning card with it!
Bravo!
