Karen's Birthday Hop

No, you are not at the wrong blog my crafty friends!
Today's post is for the incredibly talented, dearest, sweetest, kindest person in blogland...Karen Baker.
Today happens to be her birthday, and some of us were invited to take part in a birthday blog hop for her.
You should have arrived here from Jen's blog, but if you want to go to the beginning, check out our hostess Erin's blog!

I brought cupcakes to the party.

I have discovered that even if you AREN'T invited to a party, if you show up with cupcakes, you will most likely be asked in! *chuckle*

I make cupcakes on a regular basis, so I wanted something special for Karen.
These are mocha mini-cakes with espresso buttercream (and hers has semi-sweet chocolate shavings on top).

Not only is Karen a talented card maker (have you seen her blog?!), but she's really great at blog design (she made the gorgeous header up above *wink*) and she's a sweetheart to work with (we are on two DT together).
I think she's giving away a pretty nifty prize on her blog today in honor of her birthday (does that tell you what a great girl she is?), so be sure to stop by and wish her a happy birthday!

I used a stamp set that she designed for Practicing Creativity...called Nature's Wonder.

I'm so happy to have "met" you Karen, and I wish you the happiest of birthdays today!

Your next stop is Michele!

Thanks for stopping by, have a cupcake if you'd like,
*mwah*

As much as I want to visit the rest of the stops on the hop, I think I'm just gonna stay here all day and stare at those CUPCAKES! Seriously, girl, those are amazing, and I bet they taste even more incredible.
You were so thoughtful to use one of Karen's sets for her card. I love the soft inking and pops of color.

I'm with Christina, can I have cupcakes for breakfast? And you're right, not invited, just show up with cupcakes! And your card is stunning, love the patterned paper peaking out from behind, love how it frames the image. Thank you for joining us in this fun birthday celebration!

Those cupcakes are gorgeous. No wonder you are invited to every party you show up at. I'll bet your boys are happy that it is a virtual party, because that means the cupcakes stay at home.

Firstly, Dana you are invited *any* time to my place over here - especially if you bring cupcakes ;)
What a pretty card for the birthday gal - what a clever idea to use one of the sets designed by her!

Did you hear the gasp out loud at your card? No, well, maybe my mouth was full of a bite of those delicious cupcakes you offered! Dana, this is a stunning card. You were able to make a clean and simple design and use patterned paper to perfection! I adore it! The soft colors with the pop of the geometric pattern are a match made in heaven. Thank you so much for the kind words and for joining in on the party, you sure know how to make a girl feel special!
