FTL sketch 98

Hi All! Guess what? My nephew won a big singing/performing competition in upstate NY last night and now has an all-expenses paid trip to San Fransisco and a guaranteed audition for American Idol! I'm so pleased for him. He and his band have been together for a long time but his solo stuff is awesome.

This is a card I made last month actually, but I thought it almost qualified for the Clean and Simple blog FTL #98 sketch!
All stamps by PCD (I used 3 different sets here), leaf ribbon and CS from PTI.

Don't forget about the PCD sketch challenge for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Practicing Creativity Designs store! Entries are due by midnight today!

Thanks for stopping by today friends! I promise to catch up on your blog posts as soon as I have a few spare minutes on the computer!

FTL 93

I discovered a good challenge blog this weekend, Clean &Simple Stamping.
I love the sketch too, and have used it frequently in the past, so I decided to play along.

Isn't it pretty? I changed the placement of the sentiment, but I'm sure that's okay, because all those cream buttons took up space! Go check out all the entries so far...really pretty cards!

Stamps used: Cornish Heritage Farms Silhouette Blooms I (from the Kim Hughes collection)
Ink used: L'Amour Red Palette Hybrid, Sahara Sand Versamagic Chalk ink, Fawn by Impress.
Paper: Kraft, rustic cream, pure poppy by PTI.

So did everyone have a nice weekend? We had rain on and off, but the parade and the Dairy Festival was fun!

Thanks for stopping by today, Have a good start to your week!
