How has everyone's week been so far? 

We've had some beautiful weather here in the northeast, but boy do we need rain *sigh*

Speaking of the heat... *chuckle*

This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is Let's Strip! LOL

I used several different washi tapes from Freckled Fawn to create this card. After tearing them and laying them down willy nilly, I topped them with a sticker from Wordsworth (from my stash about 9 years ago!) and a giant button:) Seriously, this card took me about 6 minutes to make.

Birthday Kites

Welcome to today's spotlight stamp! 

Denami carries this darling kite that is perfect for paper piecing and coloring, and it's on sale all this week!

I stamped two different sized polka dots on my card base, used a thought bubble for the clouds, and some twine knots for the kite tails!

This post is late because we were without power last night and this morning! *pant*

I could not upload my card until I came home for lunch just now, mea culpa.

This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is a good one. It's almost identical to the first one ever, way back in April 2011!

The stamps I used are an old CTMH set that I love using for little boy cards and invites. The "road" is a handwriting line stamp from a school set by PTI.

CAS-ual Fridays (pink)

It's hotter than Hades here in the north east!!

Are you having a heat wave where you are?

Whewwwww.

Went super clean and and simple for this card...

The challenge is to use pink on your card this week at CAS-ual Fridays:)

I drew a U and then used an exacto knife to cut it out from a piece of textured Bazzill cardstock. Stamped "love" at the top, and added a mini rose, after popping it off my grey card base.

Sunny days...sweeping the clouds away

This was scheduled. *grumble* Blogger hates me...

Hi friends! Today is the last day of school for my kiddos and boy are they ever happy *smile*

I just know when they get off the bus they will be asking for vacations, camping, the beach, going to the creek, bike rides...*sigh* If only i didn't have to go to work all day! *chuckle*

This card is the epitome of summer. Sand, water, sun, blue skies, and SURFBOARDS!

Sunday Sketch #16

Welcome! I'm posting this late because I completely forgot to schedule it, but better late than never, right? *smile*

This week's sketch at the 365 Cards Blog was a challenge for me. I couldn't make it work until I used my new stamp from DRS Designs:)

Here's the sketch:

I stamped the Silhouette Branch three times on glossy cardstock and embossed with clear e.p. before sponging ink all around. I really like how it turned out!

CAS-ual Fridays (clear)

Hello friends! Is anyone else ready for school to be out yet? *sigh* 

My boys are clamoring for summer to be here, and I'm so tired of telling them how many days of school are left EACH AND EVERY DAY! *chuckle*

Going dotty

 TGIF right? *smile*

I love polka dots. 

Big ones, little ones, closely spaced or far apart, I like them all.

So this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge made me happy!

I couldn't resist punching large spots from some Denami cardstock scraps, and stamping them with a polka dot BG stamp before laying them on my kraft base. The sentiment was added to the center because I was in the mood for balance! *chuckle*

Celebration Balloons

Hi friends. Is your life as hectic and crazy as mine right now? *smile*

Am hoping this carousel stops spinning soon so I can get off!

Today's card is for the Denami spotlight focused on the sentiment above.

I like using larger sentiments to really pack a punch if you KWIM. This one does just that!

I combined it with the Brushed Balloon, and the Star balloon which are also both on sale this week! *wink*

For the background I created fireworks using silver e.p. and the Starburst and Sparkles stamps. I love how it looks...is that un-cool to say? *shrug* Well, I do! lol

Other supplies include: twine from the classic pack,  silver e.p., and red and white cardstock from the Sweetheart pack.

Casual Fridays (bling)

Hi everyone!

I'm in a super good mood and hope it stays with me for a few days :) 

The glammed up card above is for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge to BLING IT ON! *chuckle*

I used Copics to color large clear rhinestones an array of glitsy colors for this fun challenge, and adhered them to a thin strip of white CS so they would show up a bit better on the black base. Sentiment was embossed with white glimmer e.p (hard to see the shine), and I added a tiny swirl of clear gems above it.

Nothing too spectacular, but it's bold, makes a statement, and is still clean & simple! (CAS)

*grin*
