CAS-ual Fridays (tags)

I know it's cliche, but TGIF!
This work week has worn me down, but I am planning on having some fun this evening, and getting crafty with a friend this weekend, so it's all good:)

This week at CAS-ual Friday, we were challenged to make tags.

I love making tags.
I use them on packages and gift bags frequently so I can never have enough in my stash.
In fact, I made a few more last week for a post on the Casual Fridays Stamps blog too.

Both sets of tags use Merry Kiss-mas and the top two tags also use Snowflake Greetings.

This week we are sponsored by BossyJoscie! All sorts of awesome craft things are in that shop.

If you enjoy making tags why not join us at CAS-ual Fridays this week and show us your mojo!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend,
XOXO

My internet at home has been spotty recently, so please forgive any missing posts.

Go check out the tutorial I have up on the Casual Friday Stamps blog this morning!
It explains how to recreate this card using the Countdown set!

Also, join us for a two week CAS-ual Friday challenge of including blue on your project!

This is what vegetarians eat on Thanksgiving:

Sweet potato biscuits, smashed buttered rutabaga, balsamic glazed pearl onions, pioneer woman's green bean casserole (minus the bacon) and 9 hour burgundy mushrooms,  Mashed potatoes, vegetarian gravy, lemon roasted Brussel's Sprouts, thinly sliced hickory smoked Tofurky, black olives, stuffing, and cranberry sauce (whole berry).
I couldn't resist playing along with the 10 Minute Craft Dash this month either.
Great colors! And my card took me almost the entire 10 minutes...9:57!!!

Products used include
The light blue solid square is also a Denami stamp but I think it's been retired...:(

Sorry ofr the mass post but my internet seems to be working so I wanted to take the chance to cram it all in! lol

CAS-ual Fridays (so torn)

Hi friends! Hope things are swell in your world today.
It's Friday, so that must make some of you smile, right?

This clean and simple card is for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge to use paper tearing.

I can't take credit for this cute idea though...*smile* I saw something similar as a vector on an image hosting site a while ago and saved it for inspiration.
I didn't have two tone cardstock, so I glued two sheets of plain red and plain green paper together and then just started tearing! It was cathartic and fun and I got carried away and had to start over! *chuckle*

Stamps are Casual Fridays Stamps and not yet released but will be soon! *squeal*
Consider this a sneak SNEAK peek:) lol

Join in the challenge this week and show us your paper tearing skillz;)

CAS-ual Fridays (boys)

Happy Friday all!
This card is for my 13 year old.
Well it was made with him in mind, anyway.
I will give it to him if he manages to do what his father and I hope he will soon. * secretive smile*

This week's Clean & Simple challenge on the CAS-ual Friday blog is to make cards for boys.

Stamps used are Casual Friday stamps, from the Woot Woot set. I can see I'm going to get lots of use from them:) Woodgrain Impression plate from PTI, star punch from SU, charm from my stash (possibly a HilaryDuff thing from several years ago???*chuckle*), grey and orange CS from Denami Designs

CAS-ual Fridays is looking for a guest designer this week, so play along with us for a chance to be our next Girl Friday Temp!

Hope to see you there!

CAS-ual Fridays (kraft)

Can I share my love for this tongue-in-cheek set?
It just makes me smile every time I use it:)

I created this masculine BD card for a friend of mine, and of course it's late. *shrug*
 What can I say?
But it also fits the bill for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge:

I created a "kraft colored" panel by coloring with my Copic markers on glossy CS. It was fun and I think it would be great in lots of other color hues as well.

This is a bittersweet CAS-ual Friday post, because of a few changes.
Sad because we are saying goodbye to several members of our team (Karolyn, Jenny, Julie, and Stephanie) *sniff sniff*
Girls, it was delightful working with you and I hope you still play along with us. Don't be strangers!
but HAPPY because the new Casual Friday Stamps debut TONIGHT!!!!

Of course the sponsor for this week is Casual Fridays Stamps:)

And the winner gets a gift certificate to choose any of the new stamp sets that debut today!

I hope you'll join us in this kraft challenge and strut your talent.

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Two fer...

I have two cards to share today!
This one is for the sneak peeks happening at the NEW CASual Fridays Stamps Blog
Eeeek!!
Don't you just love this set? It's called Truth Is...
And you can win it by commenting over on the blog! And if you haven't commented yet on the previous sneak peeks this week, don't worry..you still have time, so get over there for a chance to win all of the sets being released!

This was the first card I ever created using my very first set Michele sent me from the new Casual Fridays Stamps...it was so hard not to spill the beans to everyone as I was working with this set...it's just so versatile and beautiful and the sentiments are perfect for brightening someone's day. *smile*
I sponged shades of blue ink all over white glossy cardstock, then heat embossed the flower stems in white, I did the same with the sentiment, but used a Copic marker to color over the white e.p. for one word to make it stand out.  A few ribbon loops and dots of Copic inside the flower and it was done!

And now for the next card...

My second card is for the Denami spotlight of the sweet Give Thanks circle
It's 10% off all this week!

Denami supplies I used:
(didn't stamp the "you" and drew in an "s")

For lots of gorgeous samples using this fun stamp, check out the Denami blog!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed my designs:)
XOXO,

CAS-ual Fridays (hearts)

I {heart} Fridays *grin*
Not only is it the beginning of a 2 day work-break for me, but it also means a new CAS-ual Friday challenge is happenin'!

This week its all about incorporating hearts.

I started with a photo of a painted sign and fiddled with it to make it fit a standard card size before printing it onto some thick cardstock. I then punched a heart shape from the middle, wrapped it with twine and adhered it to my hot pink card base with pop dots.

Our sponsor this week is very fitting:)
They don't just sell papers though. They sell gorgeous dies, awesome stamps, Copic markers, and lots more!

Come join in the CAS-ual Friday challenge and put your {heart} into it!
And don't forget about the BIG SECRET that will be revealed on the 19th! *squeal*
Check out a way to win a suh-weet prize package for displaying a blinkie HERE
