March 2011 CARDS magazine pub

Some of you may remember this card from my blog last June, but it was also published in the March issue of CARDS magazine last month!

I love using impression plates on patterned paper, and then rubbing over the impression with tea dye ink. Gives a nice aged feel! And seeing this reminds me I need to do it more often.

This was the first publication of mine and also the first time I submitted anything. I felt so special when it was accepted! I've only submitted one other time since then, and it too will be published in the August issue of CARDS magazine...can't wait!

For more info on this card , see the original post here.

Thanks for stopping by friends (and strangers)!

What a fabulous card. I am a big fan of vintage nautical and you have captured it so very well. I am please this card was published and what a great first too. No doubt you felt special, as you are and incredibly talented, not to mention inspiring. It's lovely to be able to take pause at one's accomplishments and reflect on the journey thus far. Looking forward to August's card too. Which will no doubt be another of your stunners. Exciting times!

beautiful card. I can't believe you have only submitted twice as your stuff is so nice I think you would submit more often. Me on the other hand is too afraid of rejection to submit anything.
