Sequined Christmas Banner

Hi there!
Today I am thrilled to be posting a project for Pretty Pink Posh!
Paulina contacted me a while ago to ask if I would participate in a mini blog hop to announce the opening of her sweet little shop carrying all sorts of fabulous embellishments, and I was honored.

You would not believe the goodies inside package she sent me! I squealed in delight when I opened it:) But lets get to the project I created...
Here are the supplies I chose to start with:

I knew I wanted to create a Christmas Banner to hang on my china cabinet in my dining room. I have a banner for all other occasions but nothing for the Christmas holiday.

I began by gluing the Raspberry Sequins into letter shapes on the canvas banner pieces to spell out "Be Merry."

Then I created mini sequin christmas trees on two burlap banner pieces using the Woodlands sequin mix, and the Metallic Bronze sequins for the trunk, and finished them off with a few red sequins from the Classic Christmas mix as decorations.

Then I created a snowflake for the middle separating banner piece with a pearl pen and added the Silver Confetti to highlight.

I dangled a large Silver Bell from each of the letter banners, and strung them all together with some hemp cord.

I'm so pleased with this banner and it was easy and simple to make! All those gorgeous sequins glitter so nicely in the right lighting. (It's been a cold, dreary, wintery week here and we have nearly 2 feet of snow and single digit temps so lighting in my dining room is not ideal...)

Now for the Blog Hop details:

There will be a Prize Pack from Pretty Pink Posh for TWO lucky winners drawn from all the comments before December 3rd. Paulina will announce the two winners on Thursday December 5th.
Plus, as a special you can get free shipping with your order of at least $35 until December 5! Use the special code below!

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck!
XOXO

Happy St. Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone! Did you have a nice weekend?

Today is St. Valentine's Day, and as some of you know I need to air my annual gripe about how the "St." part has been dropped. *groan*
I know, I know, but really it irks me that society has just eliminated the originator of this fabulous (IMHO) holiday. Saint Valentine was a cool guy and he deserves to be remembered! (All of this is said tongue-in-cheek, as I am not Catholic nor am I even Christian...I just like things to be proper for posterity.)

On March 17th, are you going to go around saying "Happy Patrick's Day!"??? No. You will include the "saint" as will I.

Stepping off my soapbox now.

I made this fun banner a few weeks ago in prep for today. I like to decorate our dinning room and make it special for when the kids come downstairs in the morning and see what day it is.

I love seeing the look in their sleepy eyes as they notice the tiny gifts at their place on the dinning room table and the festive decor. *smile*

Stamps are Everyday Prints by Practicing Creativity Designs. PP and CS are from PTI. I also used an SU border punch, a metal Victorian Lace die from PTI and a Dainty Lace border die from MFT.

I hope you are surrounded by love today and every day!
Happy St. Valentine's Day.
Big hugs,
*mwah*

Christmas Banner

Howdy all!
I couldn't resist using Everyday Prints to make this super festive banner!
It just came together so quickly and easily with a few pieces of fabric tape in between each tag. Of course I had to heat emboss "joy" with gold e.p. to make it really stand out, but it didn't take long because I stamped them all at the same time on the same sheet of CS!

Here's a bigger picture so you can see the entire banner.

Terrible lighting, I know, but it's my upstairs foyer and there is only one window on this side.
Know what my favorite part of this banner is? The adorable little Christmas trees in the top section! They are just too cute!

Now that I realize just how simple it is to make a banner using these easy-to-cut-out tag images I can't wait to make one for other occasions too! How about New Year's with blue and gold? Or St. Valentine's Day with pink and purple and the words "Love You"?
Eeeek, I'm already excited about the myriad of possibilities!

Be sure to stop by Karen, Paulina, and Courtney's blogs to see all the other projects the DT created for this release. You won't be disappointed!

Both Rejoice and Everyday Prints will be released at midnight tonight at Practicing Creativity Designs so be there or be square! *giggle*

Let me know what you all think,
Hugs,

Dana
