Stella Ruby leftovers

 Finally!
I had some time last night to edit photos and chose this one to post first. I was trying to use some older PP. You KNOW you have a ton of it lying around too! This is from a Basic Grey collection called Stella Ruby
Remember how trendy this was a few years ago? This PP was everywhere on every card on every blog for a while there. I'm sure if I sifted through some of my older posts from 2007/2008 I'd find quite a few! *smile*

Oh, that reminds me...
My blog will be turning 5 in a few weeks. January 31 to be exact. Can you believe it? I held off for so long in starting a blog, but finally caved in after Christmas in 2006. Now I don't know many papercrafters who DON'T have one!
Love that we are all sharing and admiring each other's work in new ways. Don't you?

Anyway I am planning on some fun blog candy for the occasion, so keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a thrilling Thursday!

*mwah*

Stella Ruby...you know what? I don't think I ever picked up that particular line...it is absolutely gorgeous....of course, if I were to go to my paper stash right now, I bet I'd find a pack of it...unopened...LOL...

5 years?! WOW...you are a rockstar....that's a long time...soooo glad that YOU are blogging...I know what you mean about NOT knowing anyone that is a paper crafter that doesn't blog..if they don't, I try to talk them into it:)

5 years? Wow! And wow on your card. I just finally started using patterned paper on my cards. I'm really far behind on the times.

Beautiful card Dana! Yes, I know we all have tons of PP that we need to put to use. I was just looking at my stash last week and decided to use some. I made six birthday cards with a layout similar to yours here. The thing is though, those six cards only used up one sheet of PP. Will we ever use up what we have?:)

Congrats on almost 5 years of blogging! I'm only coming up on my one year mark.

Congratulations on an upcoming 5 years - wow! I didn't even know papercrafting existed until 2008. I love this card! I'm really into the paper strip with stitching, border and a ribbon wrap. That cute little pine cone is like the cherry in top!

How am I not surprised you did a HS paper on Albert Hoffman? :) Just makes me love you all the more.

I love the way you used that little bit of doily - peeking out behind your sentiment panel. It's just the right touch aqainst the patterned paper.

Gorgeous, Dana! GORGEOUS! I honestly haven't seen this DP before, since I just started card-making about a year ago, so it's new and wonderful to me! Love the doily peeking out behind the sentiment panel.

Oh this is so pretty! I think this was a design that must have come out before I was aware of the concept of a "designer" paper. I remember Figgy Pudding is the first BG pack I was gifted and I was like, what's so special..until I used it. Love that you pulled out an older line -- so pretty -- it's so old it's fresh again! :) Love the touch of lace as well!

From someone who just started blogging this year, reaching your five-year anniversary is a definite accomplishment. Congratulations.

You comments on the DP reminded me of Peter Allen's song, Everything Old Is New Again. Guess it doesn't matter if the paper is older when it is so pretty. This card is quite lovely with its surprise touch of a brown flower (looks that color on my screen).

Beautiful card. The PP reminds me of fabric. And the little touch of the doily adds to the charm of this.

Your card is simply stunning. That background paper is so beautiful. Since I've only been card making for less than 3 years, the paper is new to me and it is gorgeous. You did such a beautiful job with it. Best, Curt (not Sue Ann's husband! LOL)

Beautiful card! Thank you for reminding me to use all that luscious PP I have in my stash. I still love the look of a card using some. Love that doily tucked behind the sentiment and LOVE how you edged it with a dark color. Now I'm off to thumb through my PP stash and inspired to remember how much I love the look.

I'm so glad others are digging out older pattern papers. I've done this but I know I can dig deeper! LOL Your card has such a vintage touch with that floral backdrop. Beautiful!
