Anniversary giveaway!

Can you believe it?
I started blogging on January 31, 2007. So that makes today my blog-a-versary!
Let's have a giveaway to celebrate, shall we?

Ways to win:
1. Become a follower and leave me a comment saying so (or leave me a comment saying you already are).
OR
2. Leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite vegetable (to eat) is.
OR
3. Leave me a comment telling me one of your favorite authors.
OR
4. Do any combination of the above, including all three for extra chances (but each one needs to be a separate comment).

I'm giving you options in case you don't actually want to follow my blog. No pressure here to do something you don't want to! *chuckle* But make sure I can get a hold of you through your comment...or be sure to check my blog to see if you won. This giveaway ends on February 6 at midnight EST.

Here's what you win:
A $25 gift Certificate to your choice of online stores from the below options. Plus I'll throw in the above card too! *wink*

Thanks for sticking around and reading my blog for 4 years! I appreciate each and every one of you. I've come a long way and learned one or two things about blogging in the process. I've also made some really wonderful blog friends and met so many interesting people.

Love you all,
*mwah*

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SWEET DANA!!!!

I love all veggies one of my favorite is Zucchini ... I shred it on a box grater but stop at the core since that has a bit more bitterness. Put some salt over it to pull out the moisture and wring it in tea towel. I cook it in a touch of EVOO until it is all seared up and golden brown. Toss it with some seeded plum tomatoes, garlic, EVOO, parm cheese, homemade bread crumbs and a bit of Balsamic vinegar ....... HEAVEN ON EARTH. Did you even want to know that much :) I LOVE FOOD what can I say I get all excited!!!

Sue Ann said...

Oh I have not sat down to read for myself in so long but I did work in the lastest Nelson Demille last year sometime. WE love to read to the kids so that seems to be what I am reading all the time. Julie Andrews has a really nice book out to read, short story and poems, the kids love that. I also like reading Greek Mythology to them. There is a book out for the young ..... super fun to read. Curt also reads a German book full of stories that his parents read to him, his dad would act out the characters ..... very funny when he imitates his father but look at the impression that it left on him 40 years later!!!

That's a hard question considering I've been a hardcore carnivore for so long. I think it was only within the past 10 years that I've incorporated some "green" stuff into my diet. I eat brocolli and carrots, tried asparagus, but really my fave are mushrooms.

good_day1214 said...

Again, another hard question! I have several authors that I religiously follow. One that comes to mind is the Pendergast series from Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

So sweet! Love this pretty with that touch of lace for the roof! :) Very nice! I already follow your blog. :)

B said...

Ok, this is fun. My favorite veggie is spinach. Love it. Always have, even when I was little -- then again, I loved all green things when I was little except bitter melon.... blech. You try eating that when you're 5. Haha!

B said...

Ok, my favorite author -- hmm, I have loved what Laura Hillenbrand has written. I think she does some thorough research as well which is nice. I haven't seen the movie version of Seabiscut though. But Laur has topped the list recently. Ask me in a year and I'm sure my answer will change! Haha!

Lisa F. said...

Love the card!!
I am with Stephanie, my favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Piccoult. I cry at the end of every one of their books, every.single.one. Love them!

Lisa F. said...

Annnnnddddd my favorite veggie is a hard one, I love alot of them. I never used to eat them as a kid, but since getting married, dh has introduced me to a whole new world of veggies! If I had to pick one, I would say it woud be zucchini as it so versatile for bread, casseroles, and even lasagna *yum*

Karen B. said...

Hey miss Dana, I'm a follower. Yep, you know it. I think I found you from Ted's blog awhile back and I'm so happy to be part of the PCD design team with you. You bring so much to them!

Karen B. said...

I like asparagus, is that normal?
PS-it has too be steamed though...

Karen B. said...

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. I think my most favorite recent author truly is JK Rowlings, I mean, I stayed up till I finished each and every book in one sitting.

Unknown said...

Congratulations, Dana!!! I looove that card. Love Lives Here is my most coveted stamp set lately.

I'll just leave one post, but what fun questions! Y'know, I really, really do love corn, but it hardly counts as a vegetable, so I'll have to go with a tie between carrots & parsnips. Classics. My new favorites, though, are belgian endives and fennel.

It's hard to pick a favorite author, too. If I could only read works by ONE person, maybe it would be Neil Gaiman, because then I'd have graphic novels, novels, and short stories to choose from. But I'm more drawn to female authors and have a tie between Margaret Atwood/Dorothy Allison/Donna Tartt. They rock!

Kim O'Connell said...

Grilled asparagus..........despite funky pee that later follows. :)

B Lew said...

I've been admiring your cards and photo skills for a while (following you via Google Reader). Happy Anniversary!
