Just popping in quickly with a card I created for the
Cath is so good at spotting trends and the chevron image
seems to be popping up everywhere lately.
I actually have a couple of chevron stamps, but wanted to step outside the BOLD, GRAPHIC chevron to find something a bit more subtle.
so...
I SEWED my chevron stripes!
*chuckle*
(and not very well I might add...)
Brown thread on aqua PP looks great,
but not if I'M the one doing the stitching! LOL
Stamps are from the Kim Hughes collection by
I also tried to simply cut a tiny chevron border freehand, like
(I only use mine on material, NEVER paper *shudder*),
but it doesn't look anywhere near as good!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a good one!

Oh, I really like it! Love how you incorporated the chevrons with stitching instead of stamps. Very pretty card, too, Dana.

Stunning card. What a great job with the sewing machine! I haven't stitched any of my cards yet, but your card has inspired me to give it a try.

Oh my goodness, can I tell you how much I LOVE this color combo!! And how amazing your stitching is?! WOW! Love everything about this - even your handcut chevron!
Dana, I am so honored to be on the same DT as you!! Hugs!
Argh! Now I have a strong urge to dust off the sewing machine. This one is a stunner for sure!
Very, very cool chevron stitching! The overall card looks great. As far as your stitching goes, many of us have to go slow and concentrate very hard when sewing a straight line or creating even borders on a card. Kudos to you for even attempting to sew a complicated chevron pattern! :)
So how long *did* all that sewing take? It looks a ton better than mine would look. Nice card!
Love, love the sewing you did for the chevron! This gives it a whole new look and it is fantastic!! It adds such a fun texture too! Fabulous!!
