Blog-aversary giveaway!

Happy birthday to this blog!
As of today I've been blogging for five years (since January 2007).
There have been happy times, sad events, yummy food, lulls in posting, and lots of stamping.
 *smile*
In honor of all the amazing friends I've made through the years, and the friendships that have developed because of this incredible hobby, I want to give something back...

Let's have a giveaway, shall we?

WAYS TO WIN:
1. Follow my blog by clicking "JOIN" over on the left, and leave me a comment letting me know you are now (or already are) a follower.

2. Leave a comment suggesting a great book to read.

3. Do both of the above for two entries!

I totally get that some folks may not want to follow yet another blog, so it's not required to enter, but if you do follow me or begin to follow me I will appreciate you and love you to pieces, so those of you who do will get an extra entry!

What could you win?
Your choice of a $20 gift certificate to one of the stores below:

A winner will be chosen and announced 1 week from today on February 7.

And just because it's fun, lets look at a card I posted way back when I first started this blog in 2007. Ha!

I can see all the ways I'd change this card now, but that's the beauty of growth and changing styles, right?  Boy was I into DTP inking! *grin*

So thanks for stopping by, and be sure to leave a comment about your favorite book and/or follow me to enter the giveaway. You have until next Monday to enter!

Here's to many more years of online stamping and blogging fun!

A great book to read? When I have time to pick up a book, it's usually young adult fiction (I have a 13yo, after all!!). So I'll suggest The Hunger Games. :)

Happy Blogaversary! 5-yrs! Awesome!
Already a follower, but I can't recommend a good book. It has been ages since I've read anything for fun. My current reading material is Photoshop. ;o)

As for a book recommendation, I recently read Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand. It's an amazing story about Anthony Zamperini who people had been projecting to be the first to run a 4 minute mile, but was drafted into WWII, his plane went down, and he was a Japanese POW. Really great read, and an inspiring story.

I'm going to expose myself for the teeny-bopper I am (!) and recommend The Hunger Games trilogy. My sis got me hooked - I finished the 3 books in under a week.

(haha) I have been subscribing and reading yoru blog, but now I am an official follower. Here are three book recommendations for you (since I don't know what you like to read...) The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Cutting for Stone, The Postmistress.

Wow! Five years is a long time to be blogging! Happy blogaversary, Dana. I have been a follower for awhile now; love your style!

I recently read The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. And, it got the best of me!!! I cried several times while reading it. Not for everyone, I guess; but I have loved every book I have read by him!

A big Congrats to you on your 5 yr Blogo-versary! I just signed up to be a follower (can't believe I wasn't before!). Im not sure if you're into fantasy type of books but I'd recommend The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud. Once you finish the book and stumble over all the unfamiliar names, listen to the audiobook read by Simon Jones. Makes it even better! Both my kids loved listening to it and that's hard to do with a 5 yr old and a 12 yr old!

Thanks for the chance at such a great prize. Most of the companies you listed are new to me!

Happy Blogaversary!!! So exciting! You ALWAYS inspire me. You're one of my absolute FAVORITE bloggers. So creative! Such beautiful and unique projects! Keep up the wonder work! (Oh, and of COURSE I follow your blog!)

As for books, ANYTHING by Jen Lancaster is hilarious! "Bitter is the New Black" and "My Fair Lazy" are a couple of her fantastic memoirs. I highly recommend reading them all in order of written, since they follow the progression of her life. They'd be individually hysterical, but I think if you read one, you'll want to read them all. :)

I'm new to your site and have signed up. My favorite book right now The List followed quickly by An Irish Country Doctor. One serious - one light.

Happy Blogaversary, Dana! I'm very happy to follow your blog. And thank you for taking the time to stop by my site and leave a lovely comment, which helped me find your site, which I love! I'm still finding my way around here and am amazed by how many inspirational blogs there are! I'm also very impressed by how supportive stampers are to one another! So, okay, I recommend ANY books by Fannie Flagg.
