Countdown time!

Hello everyone!
Today begins the countdown to the release of Practicing Creativity's two new sets!
(Yes...I said TWO! *squeal*)
Instead of a visual hint about this release, Courtney asked us to share our favorite childhood Christmas movie (broad hint here, very broad), so I'm here to tell you all about mine.

Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas is a Jim Henson TV special based on a book that first aired the year I was born (1977). It became our Christmas tradition to watch it every year, and because I loved the book, I fast fell in love with the musical television adaptation. To this day it is my FAVORITE holiday movie and as a family, we watch it every Christmas Eve after opening our new pajamas. I know all the songs by heart, and so do my children and my hubster too. *grin*   If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. You will fall in love, especially if you liked the Muppets.

Both of these cards were made for last month's release by PCD, along with a green one in the same style that I previously shared (here). I like simple and quick occasionally and these both fit the bill! Christmas Wonder is such a versatile set.

So we have a really great PCD release coming up...wait until you see!
We have 3 guest designers joining us (I'll share them tomorrow), and we now offer FREE SHIPPING with a $50 purchase! Woo hoo!

And this month Courtney will be drawing a winner of BOTH SETS from all the comments left on the design team's blogs throughout the release, so the more you comment, the better your chances of winning are!

Thanks for stopping by today.
Stop back tomorrow to see a sneak peek of the new sets!

I love these! Simple, yet stunning, and I REALLY love the embossing on the second one, or is that Stickles? Kind of hard to tell in the photo, but a beautiful effect whichever it is?

Very pretty, Dana! Love the shape of the cards and the colors look awesome. I've never seen your favorite movie, but I'm not a Muppet/Henson fans maybe that's why...lol. My face is a toss up between Elf and The Christmas Story. :)

I'm going to have to check that movie out--I LOVE the Muppets--they were a family tradition from when I was born, in 1978, at our house as well. We also do Christmas Eve jammies. :) Thanks for the new movie to check out.

OH...and Love the cards, too...simple and elegant all at the same time!

I'm guessing that the release has to do with movie quotes as sentiment stamps because it couldn't be as easy as a Christmas set!

Both of your cards are great, Dana! Love how clean and elegant they are!

I haven't seen the movie you mentioned, but I always loved the Muppets as a kid! I'll have to check it out!

I'm guessing the new releases are full of images such as snowballs, tiny Christmas trees, stars, sleds---kid stuff for the holidays.

Two fun cards Dana. I really like the shimmery blue cardstock you used on the second one.

Oh muppets! Love them! I don't think I've seen that particular special - will have to check it out (geeze, I'm like a TV couch potato). Anyways, lovely cards! Love the way you popped the bird out of the first and the fun simple layout of both!
