BLOG CANDY TIME!

OK, I've been meaning to giveaway some fun stuff for awhile now, so today is the day!
Here's the loot:
A brand new 6x6 pack of Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding holiday paper, and ONE of the two yet un-released stamp sets from Verve Visual! The newest stamps from Verve will be debuting November 10 and you will want them both! Win one of them here!
Here's what you need to do to win:
1. Leave a comment on THIS post, telling me what stamps you'd like to see in the future. Something that isn't already out there, that you've been looking for. Crazy, weird, normal, anything goes, just let me know what you'd like to see!
2. Make sure your email will be available to me on your comment. Either through clicking your name link, or by actually typing it in. I can't track you down if you leave an anonymous comment!
3. I will randomly generate a winner from all the comments on Saturday morning, October 27th at 9 AM EST.

*As an additional bonus, you could win the OTHER new stamp set from Verve by commenting on my pal Shannan's blog candy giveaway, HERE! How cool is that?!

And now onto today's card. It is the anniversary card for my brother and his wife!
I started with a strip of PP from the new Figgy Pudding Basic Grey pack (NOT the one I'm giving away up above, I promise!) and chose my CS and ink colors from that.
All stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I love this cake set, it's so versatile!
Sky blue and white CS, sky blue ink, and ribbon are from SU, Brown CS is Bazzill. Ink is Colorbox brown, versamagic blue, and Memories darker brown.
I used a white gel pen to color in the centers of the flowers and then used a glitter gel pen when it was dry. They really sparkle nicely, but not in this photo.

Today is my friend Julie's Birthday. Stop by her blog and let her know that turning 30 is AWESOME! (She makes incredible cards and altered projects too, so check them out while you are there!)

Hi Dana
Blog candy cool! I would like to see Spanish sentiments stamps as if I want to add something to a card I make I have to type it on my PC and attach it seperately! You can email me from my blog (although being the first to comment means I might not get picked LOL!!) Thanks again.

Oh my gosh! What AWESOME blog candy! I've been trying to find that paper everywhere... and I LOVE Verve's stamps! Thanks for the shout out about my b-day too! You're just the best! Your card is sooooo pretty! I didn't even THINK to use this set for an anniversary! The colors are scrumptious!

Now... for an idea....hmm..
I've really been wanting to have a set of stamps that would be good for masculine cards... but does NOT involve hunting, ties, or tools. Something hip!

Anonymous said...

Hmmm, I've tried to post this twice so forgive me if it posts multiple times.

I would love, love, love to see a set geared towards older kids/teenagers. Maybe using text message-type words and skull/tattoo images perhaps? It's tough making cards kids with the sets that are currently available. Thanks for listening!

Great blog candy! I still have yet to buy Verve stamps or PaperTrey-- on my long list tho!!

I would love to see a modern travel/vacation stamp set. They usually come in the vintage/distressed style, which is nice and I love that. But they don't fit with most of my vacation photos!! I'd also like to see Indian style stamps -- you see a lot of Chinese/Japanese style stamps but never Indian.

Thanks so much for the chance to win! I love your blog - it is so inspiring! I would love to see stamps that are aimed toward special needs. More images of kids adults in wheelchairs for example. Right now there aren't any out there that I know of.

Thanks again!

Love the card and the chance for great candy! I don't have any Verve yet :) Thanks for sharing

What wonderful blog candy!!! There are so many wonderful stamp designs lately. One thing that is a bit challenging at times is to find stamps that would be fun for teens, especially boy teens. Thanks for the opportunity to try out for this give away and for asking for input!

I echo Julie's comment about masculine stamps. The men in my life don't hunt or fish so it's really hard to find stamp sets that I can use to make them cards or for scrapbooking.

Oh Oh Oh please pick me!!!!

I'd love a set of all snowmen... I love snowmen... snowmen... just snowmen.

Oh how exciting! My email is splashry@telus.net and my name is Tara.

I would like to see a stamp set that has to scale home furnishings so that I could stamp them and then make a floor plan with them without having to move all my furniture. For home decor projects the scale is 1/4" = 1'. Just in case you take me seriously.....but I'm not kidding...

thanks for letting us play for such great candy....pick me!

Great blog and love our talented artwork. Very inspiring! Sweet candy you are sharing with your readers. Count me in! I would love to be the lucky stamper to play with this paper. Thanks for a chance.

WOW, Dana! What an awesome give-away prize!!! Thank you so much for a chance to win :)

What I would like to see in a stamp set is anything that coordinates with a DP pattern. Like that great Figgy paper! I think cards look so pulled together when the main element coordinates with the background.

I would love more thanksgiving, more masculine stamps like racecars, fishing, hunting, more masculine sentiments....like go scratch yourself...LOL...ok...not exactly that...but you get the idea...

Cute card! I always like new birthday stamps. I know they have been done, but I can never have too many! :) lol

This paper is on my wish list and I am sure that set will be too. I really want to win!! I would lvoe to see some scriptures and quotes. I can never find enough! Thanks so much! angel2stamp@yahoo.com

Love that paper. I would like to see stamps of comical band instruments. Kind of instruments with stick figure limbs. Sentiments that reference band jokes.

Suzanne said...

I'd like to see some nice camper stamps! DH and I camp, but not in a tent in the woods! No one seems to make a stamp set that has a travel trailer (maybe a pop-up too!), maybe a trail, bath house, picnic table, hayride, things like that!

Shelby said...

Thanks for the chance to win! I'd love to see sets w/ books... I love reading and know lots of others who do, too... and these are not easy to find!

Thank you for the opportunity - your blog is great! I would love to see more sentiment stamps - whole phrases not put your own together!

God bless

Wow, I can't wait to see the new sets. As for stamp sets I'd like to see, I have a band kid, and have really been struggling to find stamps related to that, specifically a snare drum or snare drum player. Or even a drum set.

Beautiful card!!! I would like to see something for a Bridal Shower, hard to find what i'm looking for, nothing hits me. Something either romantic with a nice picture of a girl opening packages or holding them or holding a bouquet of ribbons (like they do for showers). My daughter is getting married in July of '08 & I want to make the shower invites. I can't wait to see the new stamps. Thanks for the chance to win some great stamps.

Hi Dana...super card and those papers are yum! I hate to be-labor the point but I so crave some masculine stamps that are more in keeping with the modern man (i.e., my DH is not out fishing, sailing, hunting, etc.). I think somebody needs to sit down and think about what these homebound metrosexuals are doing (e.g. my DH is with the kids, his car, his computer) and create a set like that. I couldn't possibly get more detailed than that (which is why I don't have a company of my own) but, should they be drawn with a modern flair, that would be much better than cutesy!

Alhambra Club said...

Wow, what great blog candy, thanks for the opportunity, OK, now for the stamps, how about something more for travel, that is suit cases, hotels, etc, something like that. Usually all you ever see is the sentiment Bon Voyage.

Kristina H said...

I agree with many other posters about masculine sets that don't include hunting, sports, cars etc. Something more modern! I am always in need of sympathy sets that says something besides with deepest sympathy and not a flower! Maybe something a bit more modern looking

Thanks for a chance at the blog candy!

ruok72@gmail.com

Kathi said...

Thanks for all your great ideas! and for the opportunity to score some stamps.
I never can find a nice stamp set geared for sympathy. Something with a tasteful visual design and a coordinating verse. You can find 'with sympathy' and the like but never a nice set all together.
Plus, guy stamp sets would rock too! There is so little for the men out there.
Thanks! Kathi

great blog candy - I would love to see more quote type stamp sets - I can look them up - and print with my printer - but would rather stamp them into my design rather than paper over my design.

Hey girlfriend!
Can I play? I would LOVE to see some masculine stamps that I like lol. Maybe some larger sized nuts and/or bolts? IS that asking too much? heheh Or maybe some circles w/holes in the middle that could be used to make backgrounds?

Hugs to ya!

This is my second try to post. I love your cad, the colors are perfect!! I would love to see some farm related images, not cutsey putsey ones, but ones that reflect the way life use to be. Tractors, horse and team, milk cans ect.. Thanks for the chance at a way cool giveaway!

I would like to see runners-not kids but adults and larger than an inch-like 3-4 inches. I also need a stamp of Johnny Depp naked but maybe that is a inquiry to submit to VivaLasVegas Stamps?

Wow! What great blog candy!

I'd like to see more southwestern stamps. Not cowboys or anything like that. I've been looking for pottery and chili pepper stamps and there are very few out there. I've seen plenty that are whimsical, but I'm looking for something that's more realistic.

Amy said...

I'd like to see more anniversary stamps. A really good anniversary stamp is so much more rare than a really good wedding stamp. For every one wedding card you make, though, shouldn't you need a lifetime of anniversary cards?

ikkinlala said...

I love splashryan's idea!

I'm also kind of interested in fingerprint stamps, so that I don't have to get my hands covered in ink so often. But maybe they'd get covered in ink anyway.

I'd like to see more "manly" stamps. From "fixing" something. You know there are some men that should not even try to pick up a screwdriver or hammer. You know that saying "don't worry I'll fix it". Let's just leave it at that. What a great give away.

Hi! What great stamps you've got going on! Something I'd like to see in the way of stamps is something that's NOT just sports for little dudes. Like I have a 4 yo son who is NOT all about sports, but is all about super heros, martians and space ships, tractors and trains... seems all I can ever find are sports themed. Oh and some cutsie MONSTERS. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies.

What awesome blog candy!! Thanks for the chance to win.

I am not alone with finding it a challenge to make male cards especially after reading some of the other comments. Maybe some cartoon type stamps with sentiment coming from the the mouth like normal cartoons. Or the sentiments could be the type that you read half on the front of the card and the rest inside.

I am also always on the look out for general sentiments (all ages, male or female) for all occasions that can be also be half on front and the rest inside the card.

What generous blog candy!! Thanks for the chance to win.

What I'd love to see in stamps is more 'men' stamps. Basically just everyday men type stamps. I rarely do masculine stamps as I haven't really seen too many stamps I like. I also love little girl stamps, the cuter the better. I love vintage little girls as well as well as most little girl. Not cutesy or cartoonish though.

I would love to see more meaningful verses to put inside my cards, stead of such short few words. On Friendhsip, Life, quotes from famous people that are meaningful, more meaningful verses for wedding and sympathy also. thank you for the chance! and I also agree - one very round, very fat, very sweet roly poly snowman :). bluemoonbynite@yahoo.com

is always worth a comment or two.

Thanks!

Beautiful card, Dana! That set looks so versatile (the PTI set). Thanks for the chance to win some candy! Woo-hoo! As for new stamps i'd like to see, i agree with the masculine stamp ideas - no tools or old sailboats, something new and refreshing. i'd also like to see some cool food stamps, maybe in separate pieces so you could stamp the plate/bowl, then add the food however you wish, maybe some steam coming off of it... And nifty coffee and tea sets always get me excited!
And you have my email! :) Have a great day!

That's a tough question. With all the sets that have been done out there, I'm amazed at what beautiful new sets people come up with!! I hope it is not too late to participate. My 'wants' for stamps include my families hobbies....
anything with a pile of BOOKS, something with Americana or history, and competitive ballroom dancing, and a West Highland white terrier (make sure she is 'barking' a lot on the stamp set too - if it's going to be accurate, I mean)....weird combos, huh?! This is one of the greatest prizes ever!!! Thanks for the chances!! :)
