Hi everyone! I've got two cards to post today and will also be mentioning my "HINT" for PCD's upcoming release!

You color my world

Yes. I admit it. It's been an entire week since I posted, BUT...I have been stamping up a storm while I've been missing, so that's okay, right? Right?

I've made 14 sets of boxed Christmas cards for the charity auction I'm chairing this week!

Each set has at least 5, most have 6. SO that means I've created somewhere between 70-84 cards! *exhausted sigh*

Anyway, this card is for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week to incorporate Buttons & Bows onto your project.

Crabby Cuteness

I know, I know..."cute" is not my style, but for this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge we were to incorporate inchies onto our card and this little crabby guy fit the bill!

Tuesday Throwdown and some Gratitude

Harvest Time

Wow, I've been AWOL for almost a week my friends!

I won't bore you with insignificant details of my personal life, but lets just say that I wasn't laying around relaxing while I was gone! *chuckle*

I made this card for our Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week. The theme is: anything goes! Yep, not much of a challenge is it? Unless you like being told what to do that is...*wink*

It's a freebie this week, so why not link one of your cards to our challenge blog for a chance to win!

I used some adorable digital images from Dee Dee's Digis for this card and I have to say that I have done a180 turnaround in my opinion of digital images. Originally I didn't care for digital stamps, but now that I've really figured out how to use them, I LOVE how easy they are to manipulate! 

They allow me so much more flexibilty than traditional stamps. I can resize them to fit my sketch, rotate, flip, or mirror image them, and even completely change the layout of the sentiments! LOVE it!

Here's a picture of the set I used, Harvest Love. Notice the sentiment I used on my card looks NOTHING like it does in the original file. Cool, huh? And at only $3, it's a steal!

I also used some scrumptious orange and ivory May Arts ribbon from here. Gorgeous stuff, I tell ya.

Sponsored Tuesday Throwdown

Hi everyone! 

Today's post is scheduled because I'm on the road for work, so I'll keep it short.

For this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge we were to add an element of three. The Design Team was also sponsored by an Independent SU demo, named Catherine Pooler! She sweetly sent each one of us a packages of supplies that included CS, PP, ribbon, embellishments, and a stamp! I got this cute little crab with sentiment. It's been a long time since I've used any SU products and I was surprised that they now offer unmounted stamps! What a shock!

You can see my element of three was not only the buttons but the sentiment also. I think I'll save this card for when I need to give it to my hubster. *grin*

Chipboard challenge

The Tuesday Throwdown challenge blog is hosting a chipboard theme this week, and while I have tons (and I means TONS) of chipboard, I rarely use it. SO...what a perfect challenge for me!

I pulled out this large bird from my Maya Road Chipboard collection and covered it with a sheet of Spring Rain Bitty Box Basics PP that I stamped with BB:Diamonds. I added white gel pen dots to the centers of the diamonds and a Dew Drop eye too!

After using my Spiral Notebook Page die I drew lines on it with a Tombow marker to make it look like real notebook paper and stamped a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages. Then I stamped another one at the bottom corner of the card to balance things! *wink*

Some trim from Basic Grey and PTI, 2 punched leaf springs, and a few black rhinestones finished it off!

Punched wreath

Hi folks!

I know I've been absent a few days, but I promise you will be delighted when you see what I've been cooking up for the new Practicing Creativity release coming soon! *wink*

Today's card is for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown to use your punches. I've had this branch punch from McGill for almost 5 years and never even used it! I thought it was high time to drag it out and put it to use.

I assembled the punched branches into a wreath shape and used a quickie glue pen to adhere them together. Then I thought my wreath would look good "up" on a die cut, so out came my Mat Stack 1 die, and an impression plate from PTI as well to finish the card.

This week's challenge is paper pleating so I grabbed the opportunity to make one of those uber-trendy pleated medallions that I've been seeing everywhere lately. It was fun and not as hard as I anticipated!

Good friends, good books.

Today's card is for Tuesday Throwdown. The challenge is distressing (yay)!

You can see I didn't do a lot of it here, but I did use my Tim Holtz distressor tool and tons of PTI tea-dye duo ink. Cute digital image and sentiment from DeeDees Digis from the set Teacher's Pet, which I love because the sentiment's aren't just "school" related!

 And as a bonus all our cards this week are going to Operation Write Home for the troops. I thought a friendship themed card might be needed, and this sentiment is perfect IMHO.

I also decided to participate in my first Curtain Call challenge! Aren't these colors fab? I don't have that dark artichoke green, so I subbed in with Ripe Avocado.

Autumn is here...Brrrrrr.

We've had several days of chilly weather here, and it is making me want to create fall-themed cards, wear sweaters, and make soup. So it's perfect for this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge to celebrate Fall! *grin*

I made it in 2004 for a tag swap on a message board I used to host called Art Happens. Yep, six years ago! Craziness.

I decided to pull it out and use it on a card for the TT challenge. I think it works, don't you? All I had to do was impress the card base, add some ribbon and buttons with twine and it was done! I think it took me all of 6 minutes to finish!

Ribbon patterned paper

Hi Everyone! I'm back from my long weekend of visiting family, and wanted to pop in and post this card I made for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week to use ribbon in a "different" way. Ribbon with a Twist is the actual challenge this week, but it just means not using it in the same old tie-a-bow way!

I was so excited to use up some of my ribbon scraps for this challenge! Originally I tried to create a multi-petaled flower with them but it kept falling apart so I just decided to glue them down as if they were PP instead. 

Maybe some of you will have better luck and give the flower thing a try!

Sentiment stamps by Hampton Art Stamps. These are older wood-mounted stamps so they turned out a bit crooked after I stamped them, but that's the beauty of wood-mounted stamps, right? *snort*

Thought I'd change things up a bit and throw this extremely bright, off-season card on the blog today. Fun, huh?! I made it for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week, which is to use the rock-n-roll technique on your project.

I love the pumpkin in the Spooky Sweets set from PTI. It works with the rock-n-roll technique so well! Actually, I love almost everything in that set! lol. The bats, the spiders and the pumpkin all appear in these pictures, along with a sentiment or two!

I LOVE the new treat box die from PTI! It was so easy to cut and assemble this cute little Halloween box. All PP are Basic Grey. Can you believe I actually fussy cut that bat (and the pumpkin stem on the card too!)? Clearly I was crazy!

Oh and thanks for the anniversary wishes yesterday. You all are so sweet. Wanna hear something really neat-o? At our wedding two talented friends of ours sang a duet of "Two of Us" by The Beatles, and last night my Hubster took me to this really great restaurant at the local ski/golf resort and during dinner that song came on the Sirius radio station! We were so shocked and totally thrilled. Talk about serendipity!

A little birdie told me...

...that I needed to update my blog! *chuckle* I needed a few days off from blogging but thanks for all the emails asking where I was! It's nice to be missed.

Today's card is for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge of "more than one fold." Now, I have to tell you that I made several cards for this challenge, but none of them worked for me. So I gave up making the card base have many folds and decided to fold down a corner ON the card! That counts doesn't it? *fingers crossed*

The bird image is from Robyn's Fetish digi images. I just love her cute stance and open beak! I stamped the sentiment with Fresh Alphabet from PTI, and added some musical notes from the Birds of a Feather set.

Asian spotlight

I really like pink with kraft lately if you couldn't tell! *smile* 

This is for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week to try spotlighting as a technique. Although I knew what spotlighting was I had never tried it. I sort of reversed my spotlight because I forgot what I was doing and just started coloring my cherry blossom branch! lol! When I realized what I had done, I decided to just make the spotlight B&W instead. I think it works!

Tuesday Throwdown #9

I know, I know, I've been neglecting my blog, but it's only because we are going on vacation and all my free time has been spent on my Design Team duties and scheduling blog posts for while we are away! Forgive me?

Today's card is for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge to use paper piercing on your project. Maybe you can't see my piercing, but I was going for something different than the usual border or straight line, so all those tiny dots surrounding the bugs are pierced using different sized piercing tools from my Pergamano days.

Our sponsor this week is Whimsy Stamps! They have some really CUTE rubber and digital images. I used the Smile Bug and Little Bug Line digitals for my card. Isn't it adorable? (yes, I like my card today, although not my usual style). It makes me happy just looking at it!

Long time no post folks!

 Being that it's summer, I have been spending as much time outside as possible lately, because we have snow 7 months of the year here, and I need to enjoy this warm, sunny weather while I can!

This card is for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week, to use stitching on your project! Well I love my sewing machine and you all know that I often stitch on my cards, but I actually did some hand stitching on this one! See the red floss along the top and bottom of the white sentiment panel...yep, I took the time to do it by hand! *proud smile*

Keeping it simple with some digital images from Dee Dee's Digis, Copic markers, PP and CS from PTI.

The digital stamps I used are called Bookworm, and I received 2 images and 3 sentiments all together in the set! I only used the wormy apple here, but the worm and book image are just as adorable!
