I started by stamping the school girl tag on white with Distress ink so it would 'bleed' a bit and then I sponged some more distress ink on top to age it. Then I knew I wanted the alphabet stamp on there so I stamped it on white also using a pinkish-red hybrid ink and crumpled, sponged, and tore it to make it look like a page from an old primer. The number tag was stamped with blue on white, punched out, matted with red, and glued to a metal rimmed tag that I painted gold with a Krylon paint pen. I stamped the ribbon part of the tag a few times in different colors before deciding on the blue which I paper pieced on top. I really wanted a charm on there somewhere, so I painted a small school-house with the same gold paint pen to match. BG is a piece of Basic Grey "Recess" PP, cut to size.
