Mojo Monday on...Saturday?

This was my second attempt at Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch. I guess I'm a few days late, huh? Ah well, the joys of everyday life get in the way of my stamping occasionally. (darn it!)
I really like sketch challenges, and recently have begun "thinking outside" the sketches and changing them up a bit. This is no exception. I liked the large square in the middle, but I wanted to simplify it, so I just used the flowers to show the general idea. Then I just stamped the sentiment in the lower corner in place of the tiny square she drew.
I based the colors scheme around the piece of gorgeous satin ribbon down the middle of the card. I bought this ribbon YEARS ago to use on a wedding card, and kept the last bit for someday. Well, "someday" arrived this week!
This card was for a lady who works at the learning center (daycare) my children attend. She the sweetest lady and really LOVES children so much. She's still there at 80! Can you imagine having the "get up and go" to play with tons of wild kids all day when you are that age? Goodness.
All stamps by Papertrey Ink, except "80th"(unknown), and the linen BG stamp, which is SU. CS is SU, PP is Basic Grey, ink is Versamagic, versamark, and ranger archival.

I love what you've done with the sketch! And no... I can NOT imagine still taking care of little ones at 80! I get tired as it is now! That's awesome! :)

Love this-really pretty, and that red strip is gorgeous...you know how I love all things red! and no, when I'm 80, I can't say that I'll be chasing wild kids around. She must be a really great lady to know! I bet she has wonderful stories to tell!! Thanks for the tip on my stretched-out face! It worked! I'll change my type color, but it shows up really well, here! Hmmm...

WOW 80 and still chasing around kids--that is wonderful that she is able to do that! Just think of all the little children's lives she is touching.
