Sunday Sketch #16

Welcome! I'm posting this late because I completely forgot to schedule it, but better late than never, right? *smile*
This week's sketch at the 365 Cards Blog was a challenge for me. I couldn't make it work until I used my new stamp from DRS Designs:)

Here's the sketch:

I stamped the Silhouette Branch three times on glossy cardstock and embossed with clear e.p. before sponging ink all around. I really like how it turned out!
Be sure to check out DRS Designs. They have an amazing array of stamps in their online store!

Hope you'll join us for the Sunday Sketch this week! I'd love to see what you come up with!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT for even more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Swan Song

Welcome! I was in a soft, pink vintage mood when I made this card.
It's for the newest Sunday Sketch at the 365 Cards Blog, and we'd love to have you join us!

Here's the sketch:

Isn't it pretty? It seemed well suited to girly and soft.
Why not join us this week and see where your mojo takes you?

Sketchy Sunday

Although I'm away for the weekend, I wanted to be sure to schedule this post!
Not only is there a fabulous new sketch this week at the 356 Cards Blog, but our sponsor has been incredibly generous!

Heidi Stock Design is a great Etsy shop with some incredible goodies.
Heidi gave each of us a pack of digital papers to work with!
I used Flora Flourishes and Blooming Summer to make the card above. They were easy to work with (i.e. manipulate) and turned out beautifully!

Here's this week's sketch.

In addition to the 3 packs Heidi is giving the challenge winner, she is also offering a 40% off coupon code for the week of May 27-June 2 to ANYONE!  The code is 365365 to be entered at checkout. The code is good on EVERYTHING in the store not just paper packs!

I hope you enjoy shopping with that coupon, and I'd love to see what you create if link up a project for the sketch to the 365 Cards Blog!

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

For my Denami Blog Hop post, please click HERE, or scroll down.

Okay,  I am LOVING the Sunday sketches at the 365 Cards blog. *smile*
Sketches always seem to get my mojo flowing better than a color scheme, or any other challenge.
This week's was no different.

The sentiment stamp is from Verve. Isn't is fabulous?
I just love that saying.

Play along with us by linking your creation up to the 365 Cards Blog, and see what you could win! *wink*
And be sure to check out the other designers blogs for more inspiration using this same sketch.

Sketchy Sunday #11

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms in the US!

Things been a crazy whirlwind of insanity since I returned from my trip to California! I had a really nice visit with 6 of my siblings, spent some lovely time along the West Coast beaches, and ate like a queen due to my SIL's delicious Vietnamese cooking.
Through my airplane window.

Myself and 6 of my siblings.

Bodega Head beach

Cook your own (I'm cooking tofu and veggies!)

And I now have an official teenager in the house due to my oldest turning 13 on Thursday. *sigh*  Do they become obnoxious overnight?  Seems like it. *chuckle*
He blew up this balloon from his Grandma!

The above card is for the newest sketch over on the 365 Cards blog. I think it is the most literal I've ever been with a sketch!
I embossed the paisley background (from Cornish Heritage Farms) with white e.p. The flower, leaves, and sentiment are from PTI.

Why not join in on the fun and link up your project using this sketch for inspiration to the 365 Cards Blog?!
And if you need more samples, be sure to check out the rest of the design team:

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Mother's Day is wonderful!

Sketchy Sunday

Hi!
Can you believe we are supposed to get snow today and tomorrow?
Yeah...*grumble*

I'm popping in with a card for this week's Sunday Sketch at the 365 Cards blog.
I was definitely in a spring mood when I created this. I could see all my gorgeous deep pink apple blossom tulips beginning to bloom in my front yard against the green grass and could not resist the color combo!

Here's the sketch if you want to play along. It's a simple one and easy to "make it your own."
Check out what the DT did for more inspiration.

Link up your project to the 365 Cards blog so we can come visit and see your version!

Sunday sketch #7

It's time for a new Sunday Sketch at the 356 Cards Blog!
This week's sketch is by Erin, and it a really good one.

I painstakingly paper pieced each of those tiny Larkspur flowers.
Yeah.
Who's insane now?! *chuckle*
And don't you just LOVE that layered butterfly? (I put one of the layers on backwards, but didn't notice until I took this photo so it was too late! hee hee)
It's my favorite butterfly die and it's from WPlus9!
I saw a card similar to this a year or so ago and it's been stuck in my mind ever since. If it was yours please let me know so I can give due credit!

For even more inspiration, check out the rest of the DT at the 365 Cards Blog.
And be sure to play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday sketch #6

Happy Easter/Spring/re-birth/Ostara to those whole celebrate!

This week's sketch at the 365 Cards blog is a cute one, and very versatile. I leveled out the 3 round elements and used my ribbon in the top right hand corner. My main image is a digital stamp from Robyn's Fetish. It's actually three daises on stems with leaves but after printing, I punched just part of it out!
Here's what it looked like originally:

It's so easy to manipulate digital stamps, and I love how versatile they can be!
So if you'd like to join us this week for Sketchy Sunday, create a card based on the following sketch and link it up to the blog!

And be sure to check out the other DT members and see how they interpreted the sketch too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sunday sketch #5

I scheduled this but it didn't POST! *grumble*

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!
I have no jokes to play today...sorry:)
Its time for another Sunday sketch at the 365 Cards Blog!
We were sponsored by DSR Designs this week, and they have some amazing stamps. WOW.

I chose to work with this Simple Berry Branch before I saw the sketch for the week, so I had to do some creative finagling to make it work. *chuckle*
Here's this week's sketch:

My version moves the three flowers element to the top left corner, but I think it still works!
Check out these other fabulous ladies to see how they interpreted the sketch and the fun stamps they chose to work with from DSR Designs.

If you are feeling creative, join us by linking up your project to the 365 Cards blog. We'd love to see what you come up with!

Sunday sketch #4

Hello! I'm popping in today with a card for the newest Sunday Sketch at the 365 Cards blog.
Because we are sponsored by SRM Stickers, we each received a package of awesomeness to play with, and I couldn't resist making this sweet card for my great niece.

SRM has some really fun images and sentiments and borders for you to play with. Except for the cardstock, this entire card is stickers! I used this fun sheet of stickers. Thanks SRM, for sponsoring us!

If you want to join us, use the sketch below (I turned it) and link up your project to the 365 Cards Blog!
And don't forget to check out what the rest of the Sunday Sketch team has done!

I can't wait to see what you create!

Sketchy Sunday 2

I'm popping in with a new card and a new sketch for the Sketchy Sunday challenge on the 365 Cards blog!
I really like how a simple sketch can be a starting place for creativity, and this week's is awesome.  Instead of an actual sketch, it's a card! Check it out:

Pam created this card for us as a base sketch. I really liked the button cluster and the pom poms, so I made sure to incorporate those into my own card.

Just wait until you see what the other DT members designed for you!

If you are feeling creative, why not join us for Sketchy Sunday and link your card up to the blog? We'd love to have you!

Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO

Sunday sketch #1

Hi friends! I have some fun news to share with you all!
I've joined the 365 Cards blog Design Team!!

Design Team

The announcement was made Wednesday, but today makes my first project because I'm a Sunday Sketch designer. That just means that each Sunday I will be showcasing a card based on that week's sketch.
Here's this week's:

My card uses PTI's cardstock, patterned paper, and Lovely Leaves stamp set, and twine from DeNami's Autumn package.

I'd love to see you join us for a challenge, and since there is a new one every day (hence the whole 365 thing...*grin*), you'll surely find something to inspire you!
Link up your sketch project to the 365 blog!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my fun news!
XOXO,
