Issuing a challenge!

Hi friends!

I have some exciting news to share. I'm the guest blogger today at Do More with Less! The lovely and talented Yvonne asked me to be her guest blogger this month and not only was I seriously honored, but excited as well!

I have prepared a little tutorial and issued a challenge for you all...stamping on patterned paper! Should you participate in my challenge and post your link at Do More With Less, then you might win a prize. *wink*

A fabulous prize at that!

Some lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to one of the online stamp stores below (winner's choice).

SO what are you waiting for? Go check out my tutorial and challenge and get crackin'! *chuckle*
You'll see how I created this card and several others by stamping on or altering my patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'd be delighted if you participated in my little challenge...

GUEST BLOGGER-Finally!

Woo hoo, Dana's finally HOME! I'm sure she's got a bit of jet lag and will need a day or two to 'get back into the groove' of things! Sorry I didn't post much but summer has a way of making one busy... especially w/ 2 kids under 5.

Lgirl (my 4 yr old) is taking a class at the local Parks n Rec department called Great Gobs of Ooey Gooey Fun! The first day she came home w/a rubber glove w/frozen water in it. She was told that when melts she could poke holes in the fingers and squirt them at someone... luckily she's kind of forgotten about that one lol.

She's also come home with homemade play doh, CLEAN sand (she emphasizes this every time), silly putty and crystals that have a worm in it. TODAY is a picture made with homemade 'glossy' paint and 'sticky' paint. That sticky paint is made w/sweetened condensced milk, so you can just imagine how sticky it really is!

I spoke w/Dana and she will need the rest of the week to recover at work I think. Maybe even more time. Let's all hope those creative juices are flowing again. She is glad to be home... you don't know what you have until you visit a foreign country! hehehe

Have a great week everyone!

GUEST BLOGGER-Bella Card

Hey there,
Busy as a bee here and missin' Dana to boot! Here's a Bella card I made for a private swap I'm in. I participated in my very FIRST VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) on SCS, posted a Bella card for one of the challenges and VOILA! I received a private message inviting me to participate in a Private Bella Swap. Can't wait to get those gals back! I don't have many of them but love them all just the same!

Have you checked out the Bella website? Emily's FAB site? Check it out! It's the Stamping Bella! Which has bloomed from 8 little o'le customers to lord knows how many now! Too many to count that's for shore!

I used some Chatterbox paper I've had and bazzill paper. I put stickles on her purse and bling on her bag (though I don't think I like it too much). The 'Party girl' stamp is one of the Studio G $1 acrylics from Michaels. The flower brad is from Michaels too and I don't remember where I got the orange organza ribbon. I think it was from a ribbon swap I participated in online. Hope you like the card!!

Anyways, we're off to the library to watch a magic show. Should definitely be a jungle over there!!

GUEST BLOGGER- altered frame

Halloooo Everyone!
Sorry I don't have something *really cool* to show you but I'm fighting a sinus infection which is a really wicked one! Sigh... I miss Dana already! Well, enough sniveling! I FINALLY got to edit her info and put that missing 't' in lef-handed... that was driving me CRAZY... but I'm uber anal about those kinds of things. That's what I used to 'be' before becoming a domestic engineer! heehhe

I can't believe Dana has got to go to China! I'm 1/2 chinese for those of you who don't know me. My mum is from Taiwan and is, in fact, going there to visit her dad this summer! I went with my parents and little sister about 7 years ago. LOVE the food and the culture! Sooo... if you want some good recipes, let me know. I have the recipe for making pot stickers and they are dee-lish!

Okay, so here's a pic of a frame I made for a 1 for 1 swap. I never did get my 'one' back! But I did like making this frame. I don't remember where the stuff is from as this was before my 'writing the recipe down' phase! It is also a NON SU item. I do have non SU stuff and would be happy to post. Some times I do feel 'pressured' to post mostly SU stuff bc I am a demo and my customers do look at my site... sigh... oh well. I am working on a Bella card for a swap so I will post that too after I'm finished!

Have a great week! What's in store for me this week? I've got a Pampered Chef party to go to tomorrow, and my DD's 4th birthday coming up on Saturday. My DH is home all week so I'm SURE that will throw my whole groove off!

Let me know if there are any questions you have for me! I will try and answer them all and I will even be trying add a variety of pics... not just cards! hehehe

On leave and a guest blogger.

As some of you know, my DH and I are going to China for two weeks on tour with our old college choir. *I'm dancing with excitement* We will return on June 12, and this blog will be back to our not-so-regularly scheduled program.
While I am gone there will be a guest blogger here! Her name is Bobbie, and although she has a blog of her own, she has graciously offered to post some of her creations here periodically. She is quite talented, and will most likely offer a different perspective than I normally do. This is a tall order, because I consider my work to be pretty eclectic!
Everyone, please welcome your guest blogger, Bobbie, of Inspired by Ink.
*big round of applause for Bobbie*
