MAN, it's CAS-ual Friday!

So here I am, with yet another "guy" card that also happens to be focused on a shirt! *grin*
I promise it's not becoming a pattern (pun intended)!

This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is all about cards for men.

I couldn't resist creating this simple origami shirt card with buttons and a pocket. I used some really fun patterned paper from a pack by Gina K called...
wait for it...
CASUAL FRIDAYS!!!!
Yep. Tee hee.
This cool pack of 6x6 papers is really called Casual Friday. *grin*
Gina K is our sponsor this week and each of us girl fridays received a pack of this delicious stuff!

So in honor of Father's Day, lets see your best clean and simple manly cards!
Link them up to the CAS-ual Friday blog for a chance at an awesome prize from Gina K Designs!

CAS-ual Friday (punches)

Ok. Confession time.
How many of you have these very same flower punches and HAVE had them for so many years that they are just gathering dust? *grin*
I think every papercrafter out there began by purchasing punches! Seriously.

But now is the time to dig them out!
Because this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is to "get punchy!"
Sure, if you read the small print, you can also use dies, but that wouldn't be a challenge now would it?
We use our dies all the time, it's the punches that need some love. *smile*

I used a delightful stamp set called Blissful Botanicals by LawnFawn to create the border around my card front (and the sentiment too). Then I just used some punches to create the garden in the middle! It was fun...and a bit nostalgic too. *wink*

Lawn Fawn happens to be our sponsor this week, and they gave each of us our choice of stamp sets!
 How generous, right?
If you are looking to purchase some fabulous clear stamps, I can highly recommend them! They stamp like a dream.
So pull out those dusty old punches, or grab some new ones and join in this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge. You won't want to miss out on the inspiration!

Sketchy Sunday #11

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms in the US!

Things been a crazy whirlwind of insanity since I returned from my trip to California! I had a really nice visit with 6 of my siblings, spent some lovely time along the West Coast beaches, and ate like a queen due to my SIL's delicious Vietnamese cooking.
Through my airplane window.

Myself and 6 of my siblings.

Bodega Head beach

Cook your own (I'm cooking tofu and veggies!)

And I now have an official teenager in the house due to my oldest turning 13 on Thursday. *sigh*  Do they become obnoxious overnight?  Seems like it. *chuckle*
He blew up this balloon from his Grandma!

The above card is for the newest sketch over on the 365 Cards blog. I think it is the most literal I've ever been with a sketch!
I embossed the paisley background (from Cornish Heritage Farms) with white e.p. The flower, leaves, and sentiment are from PTI.

Why not join in on the fun and link up your project using this sketch for inspiration to the 365 Cards Blog?!
And if you need more samples, be sure to check out the rest of the design team:

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Mother's Day is wonderful!

CAS-ual Friday No.51

Welcome to the NEWEST CAS-ual Friday Challenge!
Today all of our new DT members are debuting and it's just so exciting!
It's also the CAS-ual Friday blog Birthday AND we are looking for a guest designer with this challenge too! *Whewww*

We have an easy challenge for you this week in honor of our first Birthday. *wink*
Create your project with a clean and simple birthday design.

I went with my favorite balloon stamp, and a bunch of different PPs that have been on my work desk for ages. Some Echo Park, some Basic Grey, a piece of PTI...etc. I embossed them in white and added a string tail to each, before adhering my sentiment strip on top. Two tiny buttons finished it off!

I really hope you join us this week because we are looking for a guest designer!
Now is your chance to strut your stuff! *grin*
Be sure to check out our Facebook page all week too, because our special FB team will be showcasing a new card each day for your inspiration!

A play date

Here's my first ever play date...with The PlayDate Cafe that is! *chuckle*
This week's challenge happens to be sponsored by Denami, so we had a chance to see the colors in advance.

I really liked the color story:

Isn't that beautiful?
I focused on the pattern from the floor of the bedroom, and that funky flower on the pillows. Combined with those gorgeous colors it turned out well!

If you've been itching to try Denami stamps, be sure to play along with the PDCC129 found here, for a chance at winning a $30 gift certificate to the Denami store!!!
