Childhood playtime

Can you tell I'm going back to my stamping roots with this one? *grin* If you look back through my blog over the years you'll see that a lot of my first posts here were very similar to this. A mix of PPs and a lot of vintage images with distressing everywhere!

Stamps here are from Artistic Outpost. I just love the jacks from this set, Playtime. Aren't they fun? Cutting them out wasn't so delightful, but hey...all in the name of art, right?

This card is based on Sasya Sketch #9. Come play along with us!

I used some cream twill that I've had for years (thanks to my friend Bobbie!) and ran the old formula Spring Rain ink pad from PTI along it to change the color. Crown and buckle from my stash too.

Ink: Distress Ink, PTI vintage cream, spring rain
CS: PTI
PP: no clue (from my stash)

Thanks for stopping by today friends, have a good one!

Isn't it fun to see how our styles change. It has a watercolor feel to it that is very cool.

Cute card! I really like how you colored the image to add to the vintage look. I love the patterned paper. Your twill ribbon stained so nicely with the Spring Rain ink.

That's really a cool card. So different than anything else i've seen lately. I love the vintage feel that it has and your little buckle on the dyed twill is genious! You're right..those jacks look like a pain to cut out. Why can't everything have a die?? lol

Very different from your usual style and your should do it more often. I love the montage'y look to it. Fun to find and use up some old stash, too. Very clever and original.

I see a lot of this kind of style in the stamping magazines over here Dana, but never have I seen anyone do it to my taste until now! I just love that your card is still bright and fun despite the vintage/grungy nature. Nicely done!

The coloring on the image is a really nice touch. i love that little crown!
i guess i'm a little weird because i actually like cutting little stuff out, as long as there's not a lot of stuff to be cut. i find it soothing.
