STRANGE STORY!
So I made this card last week...on Thursday May 13th to be exact. Just a simple quick card for a friend who needed something to cheer her up. I mailed it out that same day because I knew I was going to be leaving for a long weekend. I planned to post it eventually but I have quite a few cards in my files that I never get around to posting.
Fast forward to Tuesday of this week. I'm blog hopping, visiting all my favorite stops and leaving comments on some awesome creations when I happen upon Laurie's Blog, Soapbox Creations.
I literally gasp out loud.
Because I see THIS card. (you HAVE to go see...I'll wait...) OMG. I know, right?!
Apparently, great minds really DO think alike! *grin*
Same card base. Same cloud stamp. Same sentiment. Almost the same colors of buttons. Same LO. Image stamp from the SAME SET, and even the same color BG paper for photographing!
*cue Twilight music now* doo do doo do...
Has this ever happened to you? Because it happens to me fairly regularly. Really. In the past few months it's amazing how many people have emailed me to say they created a card similar or vice versa.

I LOVE it Dana! Great minds DO think alike LOL! I love how you grounded it though! The grass is perfect! And of course I love the red Swiss Dot background for your photo! LOL! The funny thing about that is I ALWAYS ALWAYS shoot with a white background! Just this one time...in a long time...did I pick a colored background! I love it! Let's see if we can do it again! :)
I am ALWAYS paranoid that when i come up with an idea it's subconsciously one that i saw on a blog recently..lol. It hasn't happened YET, but i'm sure it will. I liked Laurie's card the other day and like yours,too! I have You're Dandy (and love it thanks to you), but not the Everyday Button Bits. I love my buttons, but tend to hoard them so having a stamp set that pretty much requires me to use them isn't good...lol
Cute and cheerful looking card! Hope your friend enjoyed it. And yes, I have come across cards that were posted almost the same time as mine that looked so similar. Spooky! But as you said, Great crafing minds think alike! Have a good weekend.

Such a cute, fun card Dana. Yours may be similar to Laurie's but I hadn't seen hers, so yours is fresh and new to me! I had the same thing happen to me when I created a card for a challenge. I had the card completed, the picture taken, just hadn't gotten around to posting it on the blog when I saw that Jennifer Holmes had done the SAME thing. So of course I did not use that card for the challenge, lol!!
How did that happen Dana!! and if I recall right..this is not the first time this happening with her...:)...you both are super talented! beautiful work!
That is so bizarre, Dana. You both created such lovely cards. I love how you made some of the clouds 3-D. The grass looks like it was combed - was it? I'm curious now. :)

Earlier this year, I had someone tell me via e-mail that they were surprised they weren't given credit for the project on my blog. Because they made something very similar with certain details almost identical. This actually irritated me a bit because her blog was not one that I follow so I had never seen her project. I told her it was a simple case of great minds thinking alike.

Great card!! And what a crack up that your cards are so similar! I have seen cards posted that I think "I've done a card like that too!"- but with so many of us in love with the same products (PTI/practicing creativity/etc)... I think it's more surprising it doesn't happen more often!
